When you are publicly and provably slandered by those with the intent to completely destroy your life, livelihood and reputation, what do you do? Who do you turn to?Β
These are genuine questions we’ve been asking at Lighthouse Global following our experience of the last 3-4 years of a malicious hate and smear campaign. We have gone to all the relevant institutions, including our own Members of Parliament, because we believed that elected officials, with the responsibility to govern the UK, would be balanced, objective and responsible individuals.
At the very least we thought MPs would be respectful… that is until we saw Lighthouse Associate, Tom Hasker, being chased down the street and harassed by someone we considered at the time to be an irrationally angry and illogical member of the public. However, we later discovered this belligerently vengeful person was none other than Ms Stella Creasy, the local MP for the area!
So, in response to this harassment, we have reported Ms Creasy to the police. Additionally, we have decided to inform her parliamentary peers of her behaviour in the hope they can help Ms Creasy to see why her tyrannical behaviour is unacceptable, especially as someone who is in her position of responsibility in local and national government.
For the purpose of transparency, below is the email we sent to all UK MPs on 24th September 2024, calling on them to hold Stella Creasy accountable. We also make it clear that we are praying for her and her family.
RE: MP Stella Creasy Investigated by the Police for Harassment
Dear Member of Parliament,
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.Β – Colossians 4:6
As a Member of Parliament, I felt it imperative to draw your attention to and inform you of a situation that is in the public interest and relates to every constituency in our country. You can read about it in this article:Β UK Government MP Stella Creasy Investigated by the Police for Harassment.
The situation I refer to involves Stella Creasy (MP for Walthamstow) who is abusing her position as a Member of Parliament in an attempt to bully innocent people and their right to protest. This is not the first time Ms Creasy has attempted to silence individuals and groups who share a different belief to hers, and this type of behaviour breaks down the very fibre of democracy with which the political system is built on.Β
Furthermore, the Police have opened an investigation into Ms Creasy for harassment (crime reference number is 01/865079/24) of an individual while exercising his human right to protest.
As a group of Christians who have faced persecution from all angles, including the national media, most notably the BBC, we have experienced extreme levels of hate speech because of our faith and this type of hostility and hatred directed at us is not something new to us. As a result, one thing is for sure, we are more united in our Lord Jesus Christ to stand up against tyranny and individuals who abuse their position. We are all in favour of good governance and a righteous government that acts in the interest of the greater good of its citizens based on truth and the laws that govern it.Β
However we cannot condone a government where it abuses its powers at the expense of those that it claims to represent and whose interests it says it acts for the best of. Clearly this is not the case in this situation.Β
With that in mind, as an elected representative of your constituents and a sitting member of the House of Commons, Iβm sure that you take your position as a defender of the Rule of Law seriously. I invite you to join us in holding Ms Creasy accountable, especially when trust in governmental institutions is so low. The public needs faith and hope restored urgently.
We all make mistakes and we are the first to say that we ourselves sin and have sinned. However, where is the repentance of Stella Creasy? We simply cannot have a situation where MPs speak and espouse freedom of speech and democracy when it suits them, but then harass innocent members of the public who are exercising their right to utilise said democratic freedom of speech with one of its tools being peaceful protest!Β Β
Having done some research into Stella Creasy we have noticed a disturbing trend in her previous efforts to limit free speech when it doesnβt suit her agenda.Β

We need good governance, not tyrannical abuse of power
The government institutions and structures we have in today’s society are God-given and presented throughout the Bible. Therefore as Christians at Lighthouse Global, we very much believe in the importance of good governance that is fair, just and in service of the public.Β
We have a responsibility and a duty to respond to slanderous lies and deception, to do this firmly and peacefully. As highlighted in this letter to every MP in the UK, we are praying for Stella Creasy and her family whilst holding her accountable. We appeal to anyone reading this to also join us in prayer and to stand against the tyrannical abuse of power, whether it is the BBC journalist or a Member of Parliament.Β

We give thanks for Your wisdom to conceive government institutions and systems designed for upholding justice and order in the world.Β
We pray for those in positions of power and authority who know You, that they may reveal Your glory in the way they conduct themselves in their lives, their work and their service.Β
We also pray for those in positions of power who do not know You. We pray for those who seek to abuse their positions of responsibility for their own self-interests. We pray for their repentance, for them to come to know You, Your grace, Your justice and Your mercy through Christ’s atonement.Β
In particular we pray for Stella Creasy. We pray for her heart to soften and for her to seek truth… most critically the Truth of You, Your Son and Your Holy Spirit. We also pray for her family, that they may also come to know You and all that You are.Β
We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ as our Lord, Saviour, Redeemer and King.

Itβs a deep shame when in the name of public interest, in this case borough of Waltham Forest, abuse the power for their own personal agenda. This is disgusting behaviour, manipulating situations making it seem like itβs for the people of Walthamstow but it ainβt. This is disgusting and she ought to be held accountable for this.
It truly is a desperate situation when we as Christians would even need to write something like this about a member of parliament’s behaviour. And from what I see and understand, this is not the first time that Ms Creasy has attacked Christians who have exercised their right to protest.
I in no way support those who have attacked Ms Creasy (like those who attacked her office some time earlier this year) but those instances do not change the fact that there are many who want to have a peaceful dialogue and raise awareness of important issues that she is silencing and seeking to because it doesn’t suit her agenda.
I am praying for Ms Creasy and that she find comfort in the peace and mercy of God and that she asks Jesus to transform her heart.
We, as the members of the public, have a right to speak up and speak out when we feel that we have been miss-treated in any way. In the case of Stella Creasy, her actions were unacceptable and a blatant abuse of her power as the local MP of Walthamstow.
We need to be able to have our voices heard. I pray for her because where she has been genuinely under attack when her office window was smashed., she has also made illegitimate claims in order to demonise her opponents. Being an MP does not give you the right to harass a member of the public for peacefully protesting against child sexual abuse
The need for our publicly elected government representatives, particularly our local MP’s, to be objective in their duties and conduct themselves with integrity is important here. This public outburst by Ms Creasy in Walthamstow represents the opposite of that principle. All citizens have the right to free speech and there is no justifiable reason to harass of interfere with that democratic right. Praying for the truth to be upheld and hold ourselves and each other accountable to the truth is important, particularly as a Christian.
It is sickening the way people of governmental positions feel that they can get away with whatever they like. This seems to be the case with a lot of institutions in the UK, one rule for them and another for the average man.
The entitlement of this woman who appears to live off the so-called principle MY truth and not THE truth is appalling for a person in her position.
I actually see this a call to investigate her not just for harassment but her competency as an MP. If you as an MP have time to harass a member of the public and chase him down the street, I would question the faith your constituents have in you and your ability to represent them and the local area.
God help Stella Creasy and may he help those who she attacks stand strong
I pray for Stella Creasy who seems to campaign for freedoms of other cultures and religions, yet is clearly biased against allowing freedoms for Christian voices to be heard. She appears to stand against so-called harassment of shady individuals but is happy to harass Christian peaceful protestors herself. May her prejudices be revealed to all, so that she may reform and truly be representative of her Christian constituents rather than persistently persecuting people like them.
How awful that we live in an age and time where we are having to write to MPs in this way about one of their fellow MPs. That Ms Creasy has been so belligerent in this regard and has done nothing to objectively seek the truth and has acted in the way she has, is just not in any way acceptable from someone who is supposed to be a public servant. Politicians are supposed to be there to serve the people and they are placed in government to govern, with decorum, with responsibility and with mature balanced, objective consideration. At the heart of good governance ought to be a mature commitment and dedication to truth, that is what we are calling for and I pray for the fellow members of parliament to recognise this, heed this call of accountability and help Ms Creasy to repent for her actions and amend her ways.
I know Stella Creasy has suffered a lot of abuse as an MP. However she is voted in as an MP to be responsible when all around her are losing their heads. Unfortunately she has projected her frustrations onto innocent members of society who were being reasonable and she lost her head and been extremely unreasonable. I hope she learns and repents.
It is essential that government officials are held accountable to universal laws. Actions like those of MP Stella Creasy erode public trust in the political system. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of democracy. If someone in a public position, such as Stella Creasy, is unwilling to acknowledge her wrongdoings, take responsibility, and make amends, then alternative steps should be taken.
Politicians must be held to the highest standards of accountability, with ultimate judgment lying with our Lord Jesus Christ.
We need transparent governance grounded in universal truth to prevent harassment like that actioned by Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow.
I pray for her repentance and that, through this situation, she and her family find their way to Christ. God bless π

Stella Creasy has abused her position in many ways and her constituents, on social media platforms, often voice their dissatisfaction and disillusionment with her “leadership.”
Her inflated sense of self led her to believe she could attack and take us on and as she and Catrin Nye and the BBC are learning, we are not an easy hit or target. We stand for Christ’s reputation and we stand for truth and we will do whatever Christ gives us the power to do to hold all responsible accountable until justice, reform and compensation is enacted.
God bless all those who are seekers of truth and God help our enemies to see the error of their ways and make it right.
May God open Stella Creasy’s eyes. In the name of justice and freedom she ruins herself, exposes her character and causes untold harm to others. The limelight is not going to give her what she craves so deeply. We have a responsibility to expose evil (Psalm 97:10) and protect one another from it where we can.
