Monday 31st MARCH, 2025

They thought they were delivering the killing blow. Instead, they have only revealed their own weakness. The Daily Mail’s pitiful attempts to smear us, the BBC’s failed hit piece and the government’s feeble weaponisation of agencies against us all expose one thing—how much they have all seriously underestimated us at Lighthouse… (Read on to learn more)

The so-called ‘investigations’ into Lighthouse were supposed to be grand exposés as well as public executions of our characters and souls in the court of public opinion. The false accusers—those desperate for revenge after refusing to put the work into that which they’d so eagerly committed to with us—thought they had allied themselves with all-powerful institutions. They imagined the BBC, The Daily Mail, and the state would take us down in a spectacle of destruction. Yet what have they actually accomplished? A few tucked-away articles. A niche TV show on the BBC’s most desperately failing channel. A few whispers online.

Those in power have by now realised their monumental miscalculation. They have bitten into something they thought was a defenceless target, only to find themselves shocked—like a crocodile latching onto an electric eel. They assumed Lighthouse was an easy kill, but we are an anti-tyrant and anti-tyrannical force and now they are stuck in a very very precarious and bad situation they never thought they’d be in. If they ignore us, we continue growing. If they attack us further, they only amplify our reach and bring increasing attention to their deceit.

Meanwhile, those who will come off worst in this farce are the false accusers themselves. Used by the BBC. Exploited by the government. They were promised a reckoning, only to be discarded when the institutions realised their ‘case’ was built on lies that can be categorically and materially proven as such. Now, the same entities that emboldened and encouraged them in their dark fantasies are desperately trying to hide their own failures, leaving them floundering adrift.

As scripture warns us all, “The wicked fall into their own nets, while the righteous pass by in safety” (Psalm 141:10). The BBC, the press, and the state have all set traps for us, only to ensnare themselves. And they will regret ever underestimating us.

SUNDAY 30TH MARCH, 2025

In the unfolding saga involving Lighthouse and our false accusers, it becomes increasingly evident that whatever we at Lighthouse have suffered from this, it will be nothing close to the very authors of the original vindictive smear campaign waged against us on Reddit, otherwise known to us as ‘Reddites’. These individuals, having done a deal with the devil and entangled themselves and their lies in the BBC’s own ongoing web of deceit, are now vulnerably poised to be thrown under the bus by the BBC the moment the inevitable consequences of their deceit becomes too much of a threat to the corporation itself. The BBC has a well-documented history of distancing itself from controversy by sacrificing individuals once they become liabilities in order to preserve itself. A glaring example of this is the case of former presenter Huw Edwards. Once a stalwart of BBC News and official state occasions, Edwards was swiftly cast aside and vilified, casting all blame on him, following his conviction for possessing indecent images of children. The corporation took next to no responsibility for his behaviour and their role in enabling that and immediately sought to separate themselves from him once the outcome of his demise was inevitable, seeking the return of £200,000 paid to him post-arrest and underscoring its readiness to disassociate from its tarnished figures. Similarly, the BBC faced backlash over the documentary “Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone,” narrated by a child who was later revealed to be the son of a Hamas official. The production was criticised as a propaganda tool for Hamas and led to the BBC pulling the programme from iPlayer and issuing apologies for the oversight. The blame was conveniently shifted to the independent production company, Hoyo Films, highlighting the BBC’s propensity to deflect responsibility onto collaborators whenever controversies arise. Given these most recent precedents and many many more in its past history, including most infamously that of Jimmy Savile, if nothing else it’s incredibly naive for the ‘Reddites’ to believe they will be spared a similar fate. The BBC’s impotence and inability to face us at Lighthouse, square up to our evidence and address the truth palpably shows that they know the writing is on the wall for their abomination and its astounding levels of defamation and damage it has caused. The BBC’s pattern suggests that, once they can no longer hide the truth from the public and these individuals are no-longer serving the corporation’s Woke narrative but destroying it, they will be abandoned, tarred with the vast majority of the blame and left to face the repercussions of their actions alone. The state and its agencies will not bear the brunt of these falsehoods; instead, the fabricators themselves will be held accountable.

As followers of Christ, we are reminded of the biblical principle: “For whatever one sows, that will he also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Truth and justice prevail in the end, and those who engage in deceit will ultimately face the consequences of their actions.

SATURDAY 29TH MARCH, 2025

A protest outside BBC MediaCity in Salford has reignited calls for accountability over the broadcaster’s alleged history of covering up child abuse. Organised by Predator Awareness, the demonstration demanded answers regarding scandals involving figures such as Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris, as well as the BBC’s handling of more recent allegations.​.. The BBC’s past is tainted by abuse scandals, with Jimmy Savile allegedly victimising up to 1,000 children while operating within the organisation. Stuart Hall, a former BBC presenter, was convicted of abusing 13 girls, and Tim Westwood faced accusations of sexual misconduct. Yet the BBC has repeatedly been accused of silence, cover-ups, and failing victims.

Protesters also questioned why Huw Edwards, despite allegations, still receives a BBC pension. Reports suggest he was seen drinking with BBC executives on the very day he was suspended over a sex scandal. This, critics argue, is part of a pattern—protecting those in power while ordinary people, forced to fund the BBC through the TV licence fee, are left without answers.

The BBC’s response to the protest was telling: complete silence. No statement, no engagement—only security personnel attempting to disrupt a lawful demonstration. The protestors were dismissed, much like the victims whose stories remain unheard.

Yet justice cannot be ignored forever. As Christians, we are called to stand for truth and righteousness. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed” (Proverbs 31:8). We pray for the victims, for strength in this fight, and for the courage to expose corruption wherever it may be found. Truth will prevail.

FRIDAY 28TH MARCH, 2025

Press freedom was meant to challenge the powerful, not ruin the lives of ordinary people. Yet today, legacy media has abandoned its duty, wielding its influence as a weapon against those who dare to dissent.​.. (Read on to learn more)

The ideal of a free press is simple: to hold governments, corporations, and those in authority accountable. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 19, enshrines freedom of expression as a means to ensure truth and transparency. Yet, when that freedom is used to attack private citizens—those with no institutional power, no PR teams, and no legal war chests—the press is no longer a shield for the people but a sword against them.

The UK press, particularly outlets like the BBC and the Daily Mail, have become more like hit squads, rather than watchdogs. Consider the Leveson Inquiry, which exposed how newspapers hacked phones and destroyed reputations in pursuit of profit. Lord Justice Leveson himself condemned the press for its “reckless disregard for accuracy” and the “deliberate destruction of lives” (The Guardian).

Yet, while the press revels in smearing individuals who challenge the status quo, it actively shields real wrongdoers. The same media that hounded ordinary people over minor controversies has routinely ignored or downplayed government fraud, establishment corruption, and systemic failures. Billions in taxpayer money lost to pandemic-related fraud? Barely a murmur. The Post Office scandal that saw innocent sub-postmasters jailed for crimes they didn’t commit? Brushed aside for decades. But an individual speaking against the establishment? That warrants a full-scale media assassination.

This is not journalistic freedom; it is journalistic tyranny. A truly free press does not exist to serve the interests of the state or corporate elites—it exists to serve the truth. When the media turns against the very people it is supposed to protect, it ceases to be free. Instead, it becomes a tool of oppression, much like the Pharisees of Christ’s time—legalistic, ruthless, and utterly indifferent to justice.

The recent disqualification of Ant Middleton as a company director raises serious questions about the timing and motivations behind this action, especially considering his political ambitions with the Reform Party.​.. (Read on to learn more)

Ant Middleton, renowned for his role on the successful TV program, “SAS: Who Dares Wins,” has been banned from serving as a company director for four years due to unpaid taxes exceeding £1 million. His company, Sway and Starting Limited, apparently failed to pay £869,351 in corporation tax and £384,518 in VAT between 2019 and 2022, despite receiving over £4.5 million during that period. Mr Middleton and his wife, Emilie Middleton, withdrew nearly £3 million as directors’ loans, leading to the company’s liquidation in December 2022. 

What makes this situation particularly suspect however, is its timing. Earlier this year, in January, Mr Middleton hinted at a potential run for London Mayor under the Reform Party banner. In an X post in January, he stated, “My country is calling me once again! I’ve fought for it once before and I WILL come back and serve it again!” Undoubtedly, given his popularity and skill as a former commando, such a move could garner large scale support. Given this context, one must question whether his disqualification is a mere coincidence or a deliberate attempt to undermine his political aspirations.

The government’s pursuit of Mr Middleton over unpaid taxes stands in stark contrast to its own fiscal mismanagement. While they chase individuals like Mr Middleton, who have contributed significantly to public life, they turn a blind eye to the rampant fraud and waste within their own ranks. This glaring double standard exposes a system more interested in silencing dissent than upholding justice.

Notably, the day before the government announced his ban, Mr Middleton posted on X about his run for mayor. We at Lighthouse stand in solidarity with him and his family during this challenging time. We are praying for them and denounce anything that appears to be the weaponisation of government agencies and resources against him, likely due to his association with the Reform Party and his connections in the United States during significant political events.

As followers of Christ, we are called to stand against injustice and support those who are persecuted for seeking truth and righteousness. Let us remain vigilant and discerning in these times.

WEDNESDAY 26TH MARCH, 2025

In South Africa, media outlets still think twice before publishing any potentially defamatory claims. In the UK however, the press has become increasingly free over the last 10-15 years to publish reputation destroying claims and articles with relative impunity, hiding behind the guise of press freedoms, while increasingly disregarding hard fact and evidence based journalism. Why is it that the UK media—particularly the BBC and the Daily Mail—can publish outright smears against Lighthouse without fear of consequences, yet South African outlets have hesitated to do the same? The answer lies in the vastly different legal and cultural attitudes towards defamation in these two nations.​.. (Read on to learn more)

Historically, South Africa treated defamation as a criminal offence, recognising that reputational harm can be as destructive as financial or physical damage. While the crime was recently abolished in 2024 to protect press freedom, the culture of responsible journalism remains. Unlike their UK counterparts, South African journalists know that publishing outright falsehoods could still result in significant civil liability.

Take, for instance, the Saturday Star’s coverage of the smear campaign against Lighthouse back in 2022 which included large portions of Paul Waugh’s refutation alongside the allegations. This was very unlike the UK press, which has little risk of being successfully sued and held accountable to serious consequences and so gleefully removes crucial context and/or minimises and tucks away responses that are inconvenient to their deliberate hit-piece agenda. While still imperfect, the approach by the Saturday Star at least attempted balance—a concept alien to British media when targeting those they wish to destroy.

More revealing is the fact that multiple South African outlets have approached Paul Waugh for comment on the BBC’s so-called exposé, yet none have gone to print or broadcast. Why? Because upon hearing Lighthouse’s side of the story and realising that we have substantial evidence to counter the false claims, the risks for them outweigh any potential benefits. UK journalists, by contrast, have shown no interest in the truth we have in abundance—only in pushing narratives that will serve them commercially, politically and idealogically.

The irony is that while South Africa has managed (so far) to balance press freedom with sufficient accountability to the facts and the truth, the UK is heading in an increasingly dark, destructive and unrestrained direction—not because journalists are being jailed for criticising politicians (which was the argument for the relaxation in the law to start with), but by the press now turning and cracking down on ordinary citizens who challenge them and/or the government and speak out against them. Meanwhile, media outlets like the BBC and the Daily Mail continue to destroy private lives without consequence, as is shown in our case and many many others.

Christ calls us to stand for truth and justice. The UK press would do well to remember that.

TUESDAY 25TH MARCH, 2025

Fifteen years ago, the UK government removed criminal liability for defamation, making it a purely civil matter. This is extremely significant as, while this was hailed as a victory for free speech, in reality it has served to empower the UK press and mainstream media to proliferate falsehoods without fear of criminal consequences. As a result, the press can now effectively make opinions out to be established facts and publish extremely damaging lies with relative impunity, knowing that only the wealthiest of individuals can afford to realistically fight back and hold them legally accountable.​.. The 2013 Defamation Act introduced the requirement for claimants to prove that a false statement has caused them “serious harm.” This sounds reasonable in theory, but in practice, it has become an insurmountable barrier for most people seeking justice. Harm is often difficult to quantify and even when reputations are destroyed, proving that destruction in court is a costly and exhausting process. This change has worked almost exclusively in favour of the media. The burden of proof is now on the victim, not the liar and the press has taken full advantage of this, ramping up its smears, knowing that most of their targets lack the resources to hold them accountable.

Another tool in the media’s arsenal is the “public interest” defence, which is as vague as it is powerful. There is no clear definition of what constitutes “public interest,” meaning journalists can claim almost anything is justified under this excuse. As long as they can find someone willing to put their name to a false accusation—regardless of its credibility—the press is free to run defamatory stories with little risk. The truth has become secondary to the narrative they want to push. 

At Lighthouse, we have experienced all of this firsthand with the likes of the Daily Mail and the BBC – who have shown a flagrant and pathological disregard for the truth while gleefully proliferating false and slanderous claims against us. Claims made by vindictive liars who have provably borne false witness and yet have never once been objectively examined and openly challenged on their claims with serious scrutiny. Our experience proves that the press no longer need evidence—only a willing false witness to whom they can gladly grant a mouthpiece to millions. And these defamation laws, rather than upholding the Ninth Commandment not to bear false witness against your neighbour, have actually enabled and protected those who break it.

The BBC’s decision to axe ‘HARDtalk’ and end live broadcasts of ‘Blue Peter’ is yet another sign that it has lost its way. It clings to an outdated funding model while failing to produce content that justifies its existence. For decades, the BBC has justified the compulsory licence fee by claiming to provide impartial, high-quality programming. Such a pretence however, is becoming ever harder to maintain when even its remaining arguably more ‘credible’ shows are being scrapped. ‘HARDtalk’ was one of the last places where serious interviews took place—yet it in itself is being axed. ‘Blue Peter’, a show that generations grew up with, will now be stripped of its live format, further disconnecting it from the audience it claims to serve. The BBC insists it is “modernising,” but what is modern about gutting its own best programmes while churning out shallow, ideologically driven content?

The truth is, the BBC cannot modernise because it refuses to compete fairly. Unlike other platforms, which survive by giving viewers what they actually want, the BBC forces the public to pay for its declining output. As Senator John Kennedy recently said about taxpayer-funded media in the U.S: “It might have made sense many, many years ago… but now, people have unlimited access to news and entertainment.” The same is true here.

Instead of serving the public, the BBC serves itself. Instead of informing, it distorts. It does not reform because it does not have to. But just as Goliath fell, so will this bloated, arrogant institution if it does not repent and reform. The public is waking up, and the age of state-funded media is coming to an end.

SUNDAY 23RD MARCH, 2025

Reading this article in the Telegraph, we at Lighthouse couldn’t help but recognise the exact same struggles that we’ve seen time and time again—the deep emotional scars from childhood that are carried into adulthood and which hold people back from their potential.​.. (Read on to learn more)

The anonymous author of the article describes their own father who was “self-absorbed,” incapable of meaningful conversation, and emotionally volatile, while their mother dismissed and suppressed her emotions entirely. The author writes about the long-term effects of this as…

“By my twenties, this pattern was ingrained in me… I had a degree, a well-paid job, a car and a future that looked, from the outside, like success. But inside, I felt hollow and detached, like I was watching life happen through a thick pane of glass.”

Such an experience is very familiar to and the reality for so many today, yet here’s the shocking truth about this piece—if this author had found and joined a community to help them heal, grow and set boundaries with their toxic parents, they would probably have been accused of joining a cult.

This is exactly what has happened to us at Lighthouse. Because we, as a group and community support people in breaking free from very real and provable toxic family dynamics like those described and expressed in this article, helping them to realise the destructive affect of such relationships on their lives and take measures that will help them to heal and grow. The author herself echoes this in the piece, stating…

“For anyone navigating a relationship with an emotionally immature parent, my advice is this: stop expecting them to change. They won’t. Instead, focus on changing how you respond to them. Set boundaries. Stop enabling them.”

But when adults take this advice—when they, after trying every other reasonable option, decide they need to go ‘no contact’ with their toxic parents, purely for their own survival—those same parents and even siblings will often turn around and maliciously try to smear and destroy the support structures around that person, especially the people and community helping them to heal.

In the case of Lighthouse, the BBC—in its desperate attempt to push a woke “cult” narrative—has persistently ignored the simple truth: that the real cult isn’t a support group that helps people to heal and grow—it’s the toxic, emotionally stunted family system that demands obedience, gaslights, coercively controls and punishes independence.

What happens when people like this author speak out and how long will it be before they are accused of being anti-family and against “family values”? How long before they are attacked for speaking up against the cult of the fallen family? Note that the author seems to have pre-emptively made the article anonymous, likely to protect themselves from such expected attacks.

Let’s be clear:

Family itself is not a cult. But the perversion of family—where selfish, immature parents demand unquestioning loyalty and emotional servitude—that is the real cult and the real danger to those seeking to break free from abuse, manipulation and control.

And that’s exactly why Lighthouse exists. Because healing from broken families is an essential part of building a healthy and fulfilling adult life.

SATURDAY 22nD MARCH, 2025

The BBC enabled, ignored, and then attempted to bury one of the biggest scandals in its history. Huw Edwards’ conviction for possessing indecent images of children is now fact—but what about the unresolved allegations that the BBC failed to act on? Why has this been swept under the rug?.​.. Before his guilty plea in July 2024, Edwards was accused of paying over £35,000 for explicit images from a teenager over three years. His parents lodged a formal complaint with the BBC in May 2023, but the broadcaster—true to form—did nothing. The family were stonewalled, forced to take their story to the press in July 2023. And yet, the BBC still refused to act decisively.

When Edwards was finally suspended, the BBC pretended it had handled the situation responsibly. In reality, an internal review later admitted it failed to escalate the complaint to senior management quickly enough. This was in their words, an “oversight”. However, many will see this as a cover-up and desperate attempt to protect one of their own.

While the Metropolitan Police declined to prosecute the payments to the teenager, the moral rot at the BBC has been laid bare even more. The organisation has ultimately racked up over £1.3 million in legal fees and investigations, all to whitewash its own failures.

Where is the reckoning? Where is the accountability? Mr Edwards may no longer be at the BBC, but the culture of denial and deceit remains. These are the same people who still expect to be trusted as the nation’s broadcaster. No one at the BBC has been held responsible for shielding Edwards—because protecting the institution matters more than protecting the victims.

FRIDAY 21ST MARCH, 2025

The UK’s Online Safety Act 2023 (OSA), enacted to protect users from harmful online content, raises critical concerns about free speech and government overreach. While we, as Christians, unequivocally support the swift removal of illegal material from the internet, we must question whether we can trust legislators to confine themselves to this remit. Given recent instances where individuals have faced legal action for social media posts, the potential for misuse of such expansive powers is alarming.​.. (Read on to learn more)

The OSA mandates that online platforms proactively remove illegal content, encompassing areas such as terrorism, child sexual abuse material, hate speech, and fraud. Non-compliance can result in fines up to £18 million or 10% of a company’s global revenue, with Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, overseeing enforcement. While the intent to create a safer online environment is commendable, the Act’s broad scope and stringent penalties may lead platforms to excessively censor content to avoid potential infractions. This overreach threatens the fundamental right to free expression, as platforms might err on the side of caution, stifling legitimate discourse. ​

Moreover, the Act’s provisions allowing Ofcom to compel platforms to monitor user content pose significant privacy risks. This could undermine end-to-end encryption, a cornerstone of secure communication, thereby exposing users to surveillance and cyber threats. The Electronic Frontier Foundation has criticised the OSA for potentially mandating general monitoring of all user content, thereby infringing on individuals’ rights to private conversations. 

Our scepticism deepens when considering Ofcom’s impartiality. The regulator’s historical ties to the BBC raise questions about its ability to enforce the Act without bias. Given the BBC’s track record of partiality, entrusting Ofcom with such expansive powers could lead to selective enforcement, further eroding public trust. This concern is not unfounded, as critics argue that the Act could be used to suppress dissenting voices under the guise of combating harmful content. ​

As Christians, we are called to uphold truth and justice. While the removal of illegal content is imperative, we must remain vigilant against measures that could be exploited to suppress lawful expression. The OSA’s potential to infringe upon free speech and privacy cannot be overlooked. It is incumbent upon us to question: who determines what is deemed harmful or illegal? Can we trust a government that has previously prosecuted individuals for social media posts to fairly arbitrate truth and safety? The Act’s expansive reach and the potential for its misuse necessitate a critical examination to ensure that, in our pursuit of safety, we do not sacrifice the very freedoms that underpin our society.​

In this context, we must reflect on the teachings of Christ, who championed truth and cautioned against the misuse of authority. As we navigate the complexities of the digital age, let us advocate for measures that protect the vulnerable without compromising the fundamental rights bestowed upon us by our Creator.

Public frustration is growing as the annual licence fee—set to rise to £174.50 from April 1—forces people to continue funding an organisation that many feel no longer serves them. Some pointed out that the BBC already profits from selling programmes abroad and does not need taxpayer support.

This dissatisfaction has only been fuelled by the BBC’s ongoing scandals and the corporation was recently fined £420,000 for colluding with other broadcasters to fix freelance pay rates over seven years. Allegations of bullying on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and sexual misconduct claims, such as those against Masterchef Presenter Gregg Wallace, further erode public trust.

Surveys consistently show the majority of Britons want the licence fee scrapped. A 2022 poll found nearly two-thirds supported abolishing it in favour of a voluntary model. Now in 2025 – could the discontent be even more substantial and at a point of no return?

Despite this, the BBC leadership refuses to acknowledge the widespread dissatisfaction. Why does an institution meant to serve the public ignore the will of its audience? A fairer, market-driven funding model is long overdue. If the BBC is truly confident in its value, let it compete like everyone else.

Anthropologist Margaret Mead is often quoted as saying, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has” (goodreads.com). While the authenticity of this attribution is debated, the sentiment resonates deeply with our mission. We, a collective of dedicated individuals, are challenging the monolithic entities of the BBC and the UK government. Institutions that often appear more invested in preserving their stature than in upholding truth and serving the public good.

Recent events have spotlighted the BBC’s internal struggles. Samir Shah, the new chair of the BBC, acknowledged that misconduct complaints within the organisation are often mishandled, leading to a perception that powerful figures operate with impunity (thetimes.co.uk). Such revelations erode public trust and highlight a disconnect between the institution’s actions and its purported values.

Moreover, the BBC’s funding model has come under ever increasing public scrutiny. Discussions about potential cuts to the BBC World Service’s budget (ft.com) and debates over alternative funding mechanisms (ft.com) reveal an organisation grappling with its identity and obligations. These challenges underscore a broader issue: when institutions prioritise self-preservation over accountability, they risk alienating the very public they are meant to serve.

In contrast, our movement operates without the burdens of bureaucracy or the fear of reputational damage. We have nothing to lose in our fight for truth. Our resolve is fortified by the understanding that, irrespective of the resources arrayed against us, truth remains indestructible. And while the BBC and the government scramble to maintain control, we will only grow stronger. What begins as a few will become many, what starts as a whisper will become a roar and the resources we build will ensure that we are a force they can no longer ignore.

Kids Company, the children’s charity founded by Camila Batmanghelidjh, collapsed in 2015 after years of government funding was pulled from it following allegations of mismanagement. But in 2021, the High Court ruled that neither Ms Batmanghelidjh (who tragically died in January 2024) nor her trustees were guilty of wrongdoing, yet the Charity Commission published a report in 2022 contradicting that judgment. The case is now under judicial review, with growing pressure to expose the failures of government agencies in their treatment of charities. (bbc.co.uk)

For a decade, the Insolvency Service’s handling of Kids Company went unchallenged and now celebrities and legal experts are speaking out. But where were they when it mattered? More importantly, will they allow the same bureaucratic incompetence to persist in cases like ours? Lighthouse Global has long called for a proper investigation into the original false claims against us that formed the supposed basis for the Insolvency Service’s actions, but the Insolvency Service has done nothing to address this, indeed they have for the most part totally ignored it. And it’s this refusal to engage with the facts that exposes a system designed to crush those who challenge the establishment.

This is not an isolated failure—it is a pattern. Government bodies, regulators, and legacy media seem to operate with relative impunity, while fabricating narratives to justify their own negligence. The hypocrisy is staggering. It is time to hold these institutions to account, to demand transparency and to expose the corruption where it lies. If the Insolvency Service is finally being forced to answer for its failures with Kids Company, then it must be made to answer for all its failures, including those with us at Lighthouse.

Belfield, dubbed “the Jimmy Savile of trolling,” was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in 2022 for his relentless online harassment. Restraining orders were issued to protect Liz Green, Rozina Breen, Stephanie Hirst, and Helen Thomas, despite his acquittal on those specific charges. No one should have to endure such torment, and his actions should rightly be condemned. However, the BBC’s selective outrage raises a deeper question: Who gets to define harassment?

When critics of the BBC challenge its narratives or expose its corruption, they are quickly branded as abusers and silenced. Yet, the BBC itself has shielded actual predators within its own ranks for decades, including Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris, and dozens of others with convictions for sexual abuse. Where was their concern for victims then?

On 13th March 2025, BBC journalists Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, and Ed Main published an article about an arrest warrant issued for Shaun Cooper—a warrant based on a missed court hearing, despite a valid NHS sick note. This is the same BBC that, for nine months, suppressed news of an arrest warrant for Huw Edwards, yet within days rushed to report on Shaun Cooper’s case. Why the double standard?

Let’s put this into perspective. So far this year, the BBC has reported on only three arrest warrants on its news site—one for a former Philippine President issued by the International Criminal Court, another from a raid on an illegal gang-run garage involving suspected Class A drugs and a machete, and then, inexplicably, Shaun Cooper. Are we really to believe this is newsworthy, or is this just another coordinated hit job to destroy those who expose the BBC’s institutional evil?

Since 2011, there have been over 150 counts of child sexual abuse convictions against BBC employees and associates. The BBC enabled Jimmy Savile’s monstrous crimes for decades, ensuring he was never charged in his lifetime. The corporation has mastered the art of cover-ups while pretending to act in the ‘public interest.’ But who defines the public interest? Those who lie and smear with impunity while protecting their own?

For those of us at Lighthouse, the story of Mr Clarke’s character assassination is painfully recognisable. Like him, we have seen how faceless accusers can make sweeping, life-destroying claims and be given free rein by legacy media, while the accused is stripped of dignity, voice, and livelihood. Something the BBC are very familiar with in relation to this article is arrest warrants, in particular for their own staff!! Surely no one knows more about arrest warrants than staff at the BBC, an organisation that has had literally 100s and 100s of criminal counts for child sexual abuse levied against tens (approx 40+) of their own staff members over the last several decades. Of which, 100s of these counts have led to successful criminal convictions of their staff members, as well as others associated with the BBC, such as Adam Britton, “a leading zoologist who has worked on BBC and National Geographic productions”, who was jailed for 10 years and five months in Australia last year for his extensive sadistic sexual abuse of animals.

This is the sick irony and hypocrisy of such a fallen and depraved organisation as the BBC and so, to help the public we want to educate people on the BBC’s dark and highly manipulative ways and means of spinning a dark web of lies and sleight of hand tactics to deliberately character assassinate, slander and try to destroy people’s reputations, lives, families and health as much as possible, by showing how they are trying to do that with us. There are things the BBC just can’t help themselves doing — such as pathologically lying and spinning propaganda — which they have done again here and which only adds to the monumental fall they continue to tee themselves up for when the truth gains enough public traction and the extent of their wrongdoing is laid bare for all to see.

Douglas Murray, a journalist and author, was falsely accused by The Observer of endorsing violent racist attacks during anti-immigration protests. The claims, written by Kenan Malik, were not just incorrect—they were fabricated. Mr Murray had made no such remarks. When confronted with their falsehoods, the Guardian Media Group did what they always do: they tried to weasel out of it. But this time, they failed. Mr Murray took them to court, and the truth prevailed.

In a statement following his victory, Douglas Murray did not hold back:

“While they pretend to be the sole arbiters of truth, they spread an awful lot of falsehoods. But this was so flagrantly and demonstrably false that I took action. They tried to defend themselves, but it was completely impossible to justify the sloppy journalism of Kenan Malik and his reckless reporting. They had to issue a full apology in court, promise not to repeat the charges, and pay substantial damages along with legal costs.

It’s important to remember—using a phrase the Guardian itself loves—’comment is free,’ but facts should be sacred. Writers for the Guardian Media Group should not be allowed to fabricate facts, lie, or falsify information without consequence. I am very pleased that, for once, The Observer and The Guardian have been held to account. Frankly, I wish it would happen more often.”

And so do we. The Guardian, The BBC, and the entire legacy media machine exist to slander and destroy those they deem a threat to their narrative. They never stop to consider the lives they ruin. How many have they falsely accused? How many have suffered without the resources to fight back as Douglas Murray did?

We at Lighthouse know this game all too well. Like Mr Murray, we have been subjected to a barrage of smears from a corrupt press that believes itself untouchable. The difference? Most people do not have the financial means to drag these cowards to court. The media relies on this fact. They attack, smear, and silence, always assuming their victims will never be able to hold them to account.

But truth has a way of shining through the darkest of lies. Mr Murray’s victory is proof that these giants can be brought down. And one day, they will answer before the highest Judge of all.

TuesDAY 11TH MARCH, 2025

Shocking revelations prompt us to question the BBC: a new investigation explores whether licence fee money reached Hamas via a recent Gaza documentary. Reported by Mr Jonathan Walker for Express.co.uk on 4 March 2025, the BBC is scrutinising its documentary “Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone” after discovering the 13-year-old narrator is the son of Mr Ayman Alyazouri, Hamas’s deputy minister of agriculture. Director-General Mr Tim Davie admitted “serious failings” in oversight, with Hoyo Films—the independent producer—paying the boy’s mother a “limited sum” for his narration. A “forensic analysis” is now tracing these funds, amid fears they bolstered a terrorist group. Despite pulling the show from iPlayer, Mr Davie hinted it might return, edited or flagged, while Chairman Dr Samir Shah called it a “dagger to the heart” of the BBC’s reputation, blaming staff negligence over process flaws.

Scripture warns us that, “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (1 Timothy 6:10); if public funds indirectly aided Hamas, the BBC’s stewardship of this is a corrupt one. Mr Davie’s refusal to rule out reinstating the documentary also suggests a troubling willingness to gloss over this sin, while Dr Shah’s lament rings hollow without there being any decisive penitent action. This isn’t mere error—it’s a betrayal of trust, exposing a pattern of prioritising narrative over integrity.

The BBC must be made to face its failings and not shroud them in vague promises that never materialise. We call for transparency so that justice can prevail over expediency. In Christ’s name, who said, “What is done in secret will be shouted from the rooftops” (Luke 12:3), we and the British public demand the truth.

MONDAY 10TH MARCH, 2025

Alarming statistics show 57% of Brits support an independent probe into the BBC’s Gaza film scandal, while just 21% believe the broadcaster can investigate itself. The YouGov poll, commissioned by the Campaign Against Antisemitism and conducted 4–5 March 2025 with 2,147 adults, exposes a festering wound in the BBC’s credibility. Last month, the BBC pulled a documentary narrated by the teenage son of a Hamas official, sparking outrage over licence fee funds allegedly supporting a terrorist’s family in what critics call a “Hamas propaganda film.” Only 28% trust the BBC to self-investigate, while 58%—us included—say no. Tomorrow evening, Campaign Against Antisemitism’s Gideon Falter leads a protest at Broadcasting House, and we echo their call to suspend the licence fee until an independent inquiry shines a light on this darkness.

Legacy media like the BBC often cloak their bias as neutrality, but scripture warns us: “Woe to those who call evil good” (Isaiah 5:20). When public funds prop up propaganda, we see corruption masquerading as journalism. The poll shows 49% trust Ofcom over the BBC’s measly 28%, yet we question why any earthly institution should escape accountability and have serious doubts of our own over how much more trustworthy Ofcom truly is, considering how unbiased they are. The BBC’s attempt to dodge scrutiny with an internal report mocks the public’s voice.

As Christ’s disciples, we critique this not to condemn but to call for reform. The Campaign Against Antisemitism’s protest tonight is our protest too. We demand truth, not whitewashed lies, from a media giant that’s lost its way. Let’s pray for justice and hold fast to He who said, “The truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

Troubling data from years past has revealed that despite the BBC’s “zero-tolerance” claims, dozens of staff who were guilty of bullying and harassment still kept their jobs in 2019–2021. Reported by Jack Newman for MailOnline on 6 September 2021, a Freedom of Information disclosure showed the BBC upheld 33 of 154 bullying and harassment cases over two years ending in 2021, yet only one person was dismissed. 508 complaints—including 32 sexual misconduct cases—have highlighted a persistent issue post-Jimmy Savile scandal in 2013. Lord Hall of Birkenhead vowed there would be reform via Ms Dinah Rose QC’s ‘Respect at Work’ review, but resolutions averaged 79 days that far exceeded the promised 30–60 days. Mr Paul Siegert of the National Union of Journalists claimed guilty managers often left quietly with payoffs, not punishment.

Sources told The Times in 2021 that executives shielded the BBC’s reputation over complainants, a sentiment reinforced by a whistleblower who noted that protection leaned toward the corporation and not victims. This was no reform—it was a cover up, defying Christ’s command to “do justly” (Micah 6:8).

The BBC’s leniency years ago betrayed its audience and its own rhetoric. We call for vigilance—past failures must not repeat. Truth must reign, not hush money. The legacy media must answer to He who warned, “Nothing is hidden that will not be made known” (Luke 8:17).

The BBC’s recent actions against us—charging our brothers Kris, Jatinder, and Sukh for delivering the gift of a Bible to pseudo-reporter Ms. Catrin Nye—aren’t random. They’re part of a calculated playbook used to crush dissent and bury truth, especially when it comes from Christians, as we are. After two years of fighting their false and slanderous hit-piece A Very British Cult, we’ve cracked their code. 1. Craft the Lie
Ms. Nye, with Ravin Sampat and Jamie Bartlett wrote the script (including its conclusions) from the beginning and built A Very British Cult on an empty foundation of 140+ lies and falsehoods, fed to them by fraudsters like Jeffrey Leigh-Jones. Ex-Lighthouse associates who twisted their own laziness into fake victimhood and the BBC lapped it up—ignoring and purposely suppressing our evidence to falsely paint us as predators. This was not journalism; it was a script made intentionally to smear us.

2. Silence Opposition
Legal charges for peacefully seeking a resolution and delivering a Bible have since gagged our brothers, barring them from speaking out. Yet, meanwhile, Ms. Nye feels free to spin her own “victim” tale to 27.6K followers on X and 4.1K on Instagram, knowingly twisting reality with no pushback. We are muted but she is being amplified—a stark double standard to prevent their narrative from being challenged.

3. Deflect Accountability
Tim Davie, the BBC’s Director-General, shrugs off scandals as isolated incidents and “rogue acts” by individuals. Things like directly funding the Hamas terrorist organisation via a Gaza documentary and shielding paedophile Huw Edwards after his crimes are just a few bad apples, he will say—rather than the fruits of systemic rot we can all see within the BBC as a whole. It’s a gaslighting dodge to avoid responsibility and wholesale reform.

4. Control the Story
They will stonewall you while burying and suppressing the evidence and proof of the truth from reaching the mainstream—the videos, the documents, the timelines, the facts, the true context—hoping you’ll get tired of fighting them and move on. Every dodge, like Mr. Sampat and Mr. Bartlett’s silence, adds to their guilt, while they continue to spin their false narrative with the massive reach and resources they have. You giving up is what they bank on, but you not giving up is also their greatest fear because the truth is your greatest weapon. 

This isn’t just about us at Lighthouse, it’s how they will come for any Christian or any truth-teller who dares to defy their secular grip on public minds and opinions. Their playbook thrives on lies, intimidation and forcing silence, but with Christ’s strength we’re tearing that apart and blowing it open for all the world to learn. Our recent article following the development of the BBC’s continued attacks against us at Lighthouse did not start only with the BBC’s Catrin Nye contriving a deliberately biased and false hit-piece against us —it started first with the deceitful and slanderous individuals bearing false witness against us before that. Individuals like Jeffrey Leigh-Jones, amongst others, who all came to Lighthouse seeking to selfishly reap as many benefits as they could, without making the necessary effort. People who, when that did not work out for them, fraudulently demanded undue refunds and sought to ruin our lives and livelihoods through the legacy media in order to pressure us into doing so and/or to cancel us completely... (Read on to learn more)

Jeffrey Leigh-Jones and others of this ilk had initially approached Lighthouse promising to dedicate themselves to the hard work required here and to become valuable partners with us as we in turn supported him/them in his/their personal development. We offered Jeffrey and others a path to growing their character and competence that was rooted in truth, principles and the benefit of profound insights borne from decades of research into human behaviour and human potential. Yet, both he and the other false accusers featured in “A Very British Cult”, were not who they purported to be. They were those who shirked the necessary levels of work and commitment – expecting that extraordinary results would somehow just passively fall into their laps for as little effort as possible.

So when such attitudes bore them no such swift and easy return, they began to turn on us with lies, slander and deceit, demanding their money back and enlisting the support of pseudo-journalist Catrin Nye in order to craft a hit-piece “documyth” they believed would pressure us into giving them what they wanted; refunds they had no right or valid case to receive. Thus the abomination of lies and manipulations produced by the BBC, masquerading as journalism, in the program and podcast series, “A Very British Cult,” was used to falsely paint Lighthouse as predators, while ignoring the actual fraud that was being committed by the slanderous liars. Those like Jeffrey Leigh-Jones who constantly complained and refused to put in the work, commitment and dedication required of them or anyone trying to reach the levels they claimed to want to reach in their lives.

Elon Musk’s words (in the video clip above) from his 18 February 2025 Fox News interview with Donald Trump resonate so very pertinently here with this, based on what he learned with his company PayPal. He says: “You know who complained the first and the loudest and with the most righteous indignation? The fraudsters!”

And its the legacy media, like the BBC, who are amplifying fraudulent voices like Jeffrey’s, not because they truly care about the truth, but because they don’t want to investigate the truth, they just want to endorse certain sensational narrative that suits their agendas. And it’s such narratives that will always collapse quickly in the end, as soon as they come under enough scrutiny. The vindictive and fraudulent ex-associates of Lighthouse, like Jeffrey Leigh-Jones, were not innocent victims who lost their homes and money to us at all—they were fakers and fraudsters who PROVABLY squandered their opportunities because they thought they could get as much out as possible for putting as little as possible in and then cried victim when they realised they would actually have to  earn what they wanted.

Why is it that our brothers—Kris, Jatinder, and Sukh—cannot publicly address Catrin Nye or the charges against them, while she herself is free to share the BBC’s March 4th article on her social media accounts on X (27.6K followers) and Instagram (4.1K followers)? This isn’t the act of a victim—it’s a calculated move to milk sympathy from her large audience and to prop up her struggling docu-myth A Very British Cult. Our unwavering stand for truth has exposed her lies and fakery, raining on her attempts to build her career at the expense of the innocent people of Lighthouse and now she’s spinning a fake victim narrative in order to try and salvage some of her image and intimidate those exposing her.

While our brothers in Christ are forced to stay silent, she herself is exploiting her platform to twist the story for her own ends. On March 4, 2025, the BBC slapped up an article announcing that three of our brothers—Kris, Jatinder, and Sukh—were outrageously and wrongfully charged with harassing BBC presenter Catrin Nye. However, this move by Ms Nye and the BBC is a blatantly sad and desperate bid from someone who is doing all she can to maintain the facade of her false and slanderous hit-piece, ‘A Very British Cult‘, by playing the victim. For nearly two years, Ms Nye has consistently ignored, snubbed and utterly refused to open any communication with Lighthouse in relation to facing the truth and addressing the 140+ provable lies and falsehoods that are contained in her diabolically false docu-myth. This is despite the continual and well documented appeals and demands from us for her and the BBC to grant us a fair, equal and unedited response to the allegations against us with the same level of exposure that they gave to our false accusers.

Why would such a request be so feared by Ms Nye and the BBC if they have not lied and sought to destroy our lives as badly and provably as they actually have?

Tragically for Ms Nye this action will only add to the ever mounting evidence and collateral we have to show just how heinously she and the BBC have deliberately abused the public’s trust, using public funds and privilege to knowingly try and destroy innocent people’s lives, families and livelihoods. When the truth comes widely to the fore, as it very soon and inevitably will, both she and the BBC will only seen so much worse for having chosen to take this course of action.

It is extremely important that as many people as possible read the following article and see how strongly we are able to back up and demonstrate the fact that these arrests and charges are the BBC’s desperate attempt to avoid accountability and illegitimately paint themselves as the victims and us as aggressors, all with the hope that they can successfully intimidate us into silence.

However, Ms Nye and those at the BBC are learning again and again just how committed and determined those armed with the truth and the backing of our Lord Jesus Christ actually are. We will never give in and allow such evil to go unanswered and will never stop until full and proper justice is served and we receive the appropriate levels of compensation we deserve, which will be no small sum.

TUESDAY 4TH MARCH, 2025

We’re troubled yet not shocked as Director-General Tim Davie and Chairman Samir Shah face scrutiny over the BBC’s Gaza documentary, with admissions that licence fee money “may” have funded Hamas. In a recent MP interview, Tim Davie revealed the BBC are investigating whether public funds were paid to the terrorist group, saying, “I am not ruling anything out,” and promising a “forensic analysis” of the money’s trail. The programme, produced by Hoyo Films, is now known to have paid a “limited sum” to Gazan mother for her son’s narration in the film, yet the son in question has been found to have direct links to Hamas itself. Despite this Samir Shah has tried to play down the whole fiasco, insisting that editorial guidelines aren’t at fault, but that it’s just a case of “people not doing their job”. Such devious excuses, typical of the BBC, echo their handling of the situation in 2024 with presenter Huw Edwards, who was convicted for possession of child pornography, where the BBC tactic is one of singling out the individual as a ‘rogue’ or isolated case. In regards to Mr Edwards’s later refusal to repay his BBC salary, Mr Shah shrugged the incident off, saying, “There’s nothing we can do.” In response to this comments and posts on social media platform, X, are raging, with one account calling this “institutional rot.” The BBC’s pattern is clear and consistent in all these cases—1) apologise, 2) deflect and 3) move on as though nothing has happened—all while reeking of a deeper malaise and organisational rot. Even though Tim Davie admitted the show might even return to iPlayer, we can plainly see the broadcaster once again is dodging accountability and shielding a culture that is increasingly being exposed as sitting in a moral and ethical sewer.

The legacy media will typically seek to spin these events as mere hiccups, in order to water down and minimise their organisational and leadership culpability as much as possible, when the stakes are far higher and far more serious. However public trust is eroding as the BBC squirms to get out of yet another scandal, this time tying their forced licence fees directly to terror itself. This is not about one “bad egg”—it’s about a system that is wholly and arrogantly unwilling to confront its lies, corruption and debauchery, expecting to walk away (again) relatively scott-free. However, there is a limit as to how long the BBC can manage to keep doing this before the public turns on them irreversibly.

The court battle in question stemmed from Ofcom’s 2023 rulings against Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg’s programmes, where he briefly presented news updates. Ofcom had cried foul over impartiality, but Mrs Justice Rowena Collins Rice deemed their stance legally unsound, quashing the penalties and awarding GB News costs. This isn’t new though—Ofcom has repeatedly targeted GB News, a channel staffed by ex-BBC voices seeking change, while the BBC sails on unscathed, despite countless documented instances of bias and distortions. Users on social media platform, X, have hailed it as a defeat of “bureaucratic overreach,” with one calling Ofcom’s loss “long overdue.”

We are seeing a stark double standard here. The legacy media giants like the BBC continuously evade genuine scrutiny, while an outlet like GB News, for all its flaws, bears the brunt of regulatory zeal. This ruling doesn’t just acquit a broadcaster—it challenges a corrupt status quo that stifles dissent. It’s a moment to reflect on where fairness truly exists, and who gets to define it.

SUNDAY 2ND MARCH, 2025

The mainstream media’s latest emotional manipulation is in full swing. Following a heated Oval Office argument between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the legacy press has painted Mr Zelenskyy as the innocent victim. President Donald Trump, never one to mince words, confronted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their Oval Office meeting, questioning the endless Western military aid and the lack of meaningful peace negotiations. Following this, the mainstream media predictably went into overdrive, depicting Mr Trump as a bully and Mr Zelenskyy as a brave but helpless leader. Then, right on cue, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stepped in by rolling out the red carpet for Mr Zelenskyy and announcing a massive financial package to bolster Ukraine’s defences.

The usual suspects in the mainstream media and press—the BBC, The Guardian, and Sky News—are all amplifying the “Zelenskyy Is A Victim” narrative, looking to make the West feel guilty for even suggesting that Ukraine should be accountable for the billions it’s received. But let’s ask the real question: Is Britain’s economic situation so wonderful that it can afford to gift more taxpayer-funded billions to a war effort with no clear end?

Peace should always be the goal, yet anyone who dares question the wisdom of prolonged conflict is vilified. There is virtue in defending one’s nation, but there is no virtue in blindly throwing money into war while our own people suffer under failing public services, sky-high taxes and government mismanagement. The Apostle Paul warns us in scripture against being led by our emotions, rather than by sound judgment (2 Timothy 4:3-4). A wise nation does not allow itself to be deceived by manipulated narratives but instead objectively seeks the truth and righteousness through its actions.

At what point does supporting Ukraine cross the line from solidarity into reckless, virtue-signalling folly? Perhaps it’s time to ask whether we are truly helping—or actually being played! 

SATURDAY 1ST MARCH, 2025

The incident, captured on CCTV, showed Mr Amesbury repeatedly assaulting Mr Fellows, actions deemed unprovoked and too serious for community service. Despite this, the judge acknowledged Mr Amesbury’s previous good character and mental health struggles, opting for a suspended sentence with conditions including unpaid work and participation in rehabilitation programs.

This leniency stands in stark contrast to the severe penalties imposed on individuals prosecuted for online speech. For instance, a man was recently sentenced to prison for a Facebook post deemed offensive, highlighting the UK’s stringent stance on online speech. Defending free speech means upholding the right to express even heinous opinions, distinguishing it from slander and defamation, which should be unequivocally illegal due to their potential to unjustly ruin lives.

The question arises: would the Labour Party have extended such leniency to a Conservative MP? The disparity in treatment suggests a troubling bias, undermining public trust in the impartiality of our legal system. Unfortunately, we have seen too many instances of the government revealing its double standards, so can reasonably assume this situation is no different. It does not seem to be a coincidence that The Sun remarked that Mr Amesbury spending time in prison would be a blow to Sir Keir and now Mr Amesbury is receiving a suspended sentence…
