When Catrin Nye and her team first broadcast a Very British Cult in April 2023, they wrote in response to our protests and complaints of their treatment of us to state they believed their programme to be ‘robust, accurate and fair’, as were the words of BBC Producer, Ravin Sampat.

Yet everything Ms Nye and her team have done in relation to us at Lighthouse proves otherwise and that is before we even start to present our evidence (some of which we have already published). Just through the kind of character and behaviour Ms Nye and her BBC team have displayed, including the decisions they have made, they have utterly contradicted the BBC’s supposed values and revealed their unprecedented skullduggery and destructive intent.

With every lie, every duck and dive and avoidance of accountability, along with the continued refusal to give Lighthouse a live and real-time opportunity to respond to the false and slanderous accusations with our evidence to the same audience, both Catrin Nye and the BBC have shown they are not interested in truth, let alone the public interest. So when, after trying every means possible to hold Ms Nye and the BBC accountable, from protesting online, sending complaints to the BBC and Ofcom, only to be fobbed off and ignored at every turn, to protesting outside Broadcasting House we eventually took our protests to Catrin Nye’s own doorstep! Something she has had no issue in doing to others.

Our intentions were clearly stated, even recorded on film, to say we were there at her door to present her with a signed Bible, a letter of appeal to her conscience and to give her an opportunity to reply to the documentary we are now making about her and the BBC’s heinous and scurrilous slander. Yet, while having made the weakness in their position abundantly clear after avoiding accountability at every opportunity, Ms Nye and the BBC chose to leverage the police and have three of our Associates falsely arrested. Such is the reality of the deceitful characters and unscrupulous methods of the BBC and people like Catrin Nye, that they will do everything they can to gaslight and vilify their victims, while playing the victim themselves, than face the truth take any responsibility!

However, such a course of action will only end up backfiring as the truth comes more and more to light publicly. It’s here that with all they have done to avoid taking responsibility becomes known and the full evil is exposed, that it will no doubt be the end of many people’s careers and likely the BBC itself. Watch this space in 2025!

Throughout 2024 we’ve challenged and shown, through the BBC’s cowardice, how empty their abomination of a false and slanderous hit-piece on Lighthouse, A Very British Cult is. Because, if A Very British Cult was a truly accurate and real account, Catrin Nye, her team and her sources would have welcomed putting our accountability to the sword with their facts, evidence and reason. Something they have not done and are not able to do and which they have acted in complete contradiction to..

If the BBC were genuinely trying to serve the public interest and report the truth (as they claim), then they would listen to Lighthouse and look at our evidence and put any wrongs right!.. Right?.. NO! Because to do that would mean exposing how BAD and maliciously fabricated A Very British Cult actually is and how the BBC went ahead and produced it knowing that was the case as well, so they have done the only thing they knew how, hidden and avoided the truth hoping it will eventually go away.

That’s why we at Lighthouse, throughout the summer of 2024, decided to engage them directly where they are, as well as members of the public and the BBC’s own staff. This was not only to challenge their cowardice, but to bring to attention the shocking number of allegations and criminal counts of convictions against BBC staff — all for child sexual abuse — that have happened in the 10 years following the Jimmy Savile’s inquiry that ended in 2013. That’s over 145 allegations and at least 82 criminal counts of conviction against multiple paedophiles who were on the BBC payroll.

For MONTHS our Associates protested and stood in person at BBC HQ, Broadcasting House, London in all weathers. Sometimes just a couple of us, sometimes a whole team with little or no response from Ms Nye or the BBC who on the whole continunally ignored our presence. That is apart from one occasion in particular where Ms Nye appeared in front of us all, 60 meters away inside the building! But choosing not to come and speak to us face-to-face, she instead filmed from the window with the so-called ‘cult advisor’, Alexandra Stein, proving yet again the inability for A Very British Cult to stand up to any kind of scrutiny and accountability.

The more we have intensified our accountability, the more the BBC has revealed its guilt and abominable skullduggery and vain attempts to hide and cover up the fact they tried to murder our reputations in the belief they could get away with it. Well we won’t let them get away with anything and 2025 is only going to see our rightful and just levels of accountability only increase. Watch this space!

On the 15th April this year we called out the BBC for the organisation it actually is. NOT the organisation it claims to be, but the one that is riddled with wickedness and evil right down to the core of its very structure and leadership as we have come to experience firsthand. Named after the heinously prolific paedophile, known to have abused hundreds (likely thousands) of innocent children while at the BBC, the Savile Syndrome is not about one monstrous individual but about the very culture and spirit that allows someone like a Jimmy Savile to go about their evil for as long as he did. His paedophilia is just one symptom of evil at the BBC amongst many others.

The Savile Syndrome moniker was created to describe how wickedness and evil comes to flourish in certain primary conditions and how the BBC is actually a prime example of an organisation riddled with that syndrome. That is because, much like cancer requires certain conditions to take root in the human body, certain conditions are necessary for evil to take root in individuals and groups of people, as it self-evidently has at the BBC. So much so that there has not been even one, legal or otherwise, objection to this moniker from the BBC since it was created.

If just a fraction of the number of paedophiles that have come out of the BBC (over 40 individual cases) were associated to any other corporation, that organisation would have been forced to close down long ago. Yet despite the prolific dark fruits in the likes of Jimmy Savile and the many more like him, including cases of bestiality and sexual predators of adults too, the BBC has continued to exist, unrepentant, while forcing the public to fund it and continuing to lie, cheat and deceive the public with bare faced hubris.

How has this been possible? Because the BBC are century old masters of propaganda, indoctrination, deflection and shifting the blame onto others. And let’s not forget how it continues to be upheld by the British government too.

This is why the Savile Syndrome needed to be created in order to give the public and those objectively observing the BBC something to hang all of the seemingly separate and disparate examples of evil to come out of such an organisation, and see how it all interlinks and speaks of the rotten whole beneath the glitzy, smiley facade. The devil does not appear as a red monster with horns, but as the Bible says, he will appear as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14.

BBC Director General Tim Davie has many times claimed that the BBC is a unique and valuable service, not just in the UK but internationally and one of the world’s “most trusted” new sources. But there is a BIG difference between being “trusted” and being “trustworthy”.

After all, here at the end of 2024, where the BBC has seen it’s 3rd highest paid TV presenter, Huw Edwards, convicted of being in possession of extreme images of child pornography. We have seen multiple sexual harassment allegations made against sports presenter Jermaine Jenas and Masterchef judge, Gregg Wallace, not to mention the Strictly Come Dancing abuse scandal this summer and the fact the BBC has had to apologise for sending out letters in the last few weeks threatening to send TV Licence enforcement officers to people’s homes on Christmas Day!

The value of trust in the BBC is falling and is continuing to fall rapidly as dissent amongst those who are being forced to pay increasing TV licence fees grows against the institution that has lied and abused its position and hurt many people and their lives so many times and then done very little or nothing at all to genuinely reform and make things right.

At Lighthouse we have a solid case, just with us alone for proving that who the BBC claim to be and who they actually are are two very different things. Earlier this year, Director General Tim Davie said the BBC’s priorities were to 1) Pursue truth with no agenda 2) Back British storytelling and 3) Bring people together and yet in the case of Lighthouse alone they have done absolutely the opposite. Just through A Very British Cult they have 1) run away from truth and done all they can to reinforce a heinously false and destructively slanderous agenda, 2) Backed the fabricated stories of maliciously resentful and lying online trolls and 3) Sought to destroy a small group of innocent people’s reputations, lives, families, children and livelihoods without any contrition or remorse when exposed for it.

This is why we at Lighthouse are putting it to the public in 2025 that there needs to be a massive collective campaign to boycott the BBC and insist on them either being defunded or made to reform throughout. Mr Davie claims he wants the BBC to tackle disinformation and poor journalism and yet he and the entire team of A Very British Cult have not only avoided and tried to silence Lighthouse’s accountability and demands for a live, real-time response to the same level of audience as our false accusers (for the better part of a year), but they have actively gone out of their way to try and further murder our reputations in trips to South Africa and Sweden and more.

Back on the 2nd March 2024 we publicly announced on social media that we’d set the date for a David Vs Goliath Showdown with the BBC. This was an open invitation and challenge to Catrin Nye, her team and all the sources who contributed to her false and slanderous anti-Lighthouse hit-piece, ‘A Very British Cult’, to prove they weren’t lying to the British public. The Showdown’s premise was simple; a live online broadcast, in real-time, where nothing could be edited, manipulated or falsely presented by either side and to provide a full and fair disclosure of all the facts. It was the first time their false claims would be put under any real scrutiny in the face of our evidence… and they failed completely!..

This direct challenge came on the back of Catrin Nye having boasted on her social media just a few days before, on the 28th February, that A Very British Cult had been nominated for a True Crime podcast award. If there were anything genuinely true about her programme, then she and her team would surely have no problem backing it up? None of the provably false claims about Lighthouse and the falsely presented recordings they’d used in the programme had ever been put under direct, open and objective scrutiny in the face of full context, facts and evidence and this was their chance to prove their case.

As the days passed by and time moved towards the date set for the David Vs Goliath Showdown, on the 23rd April 2024, Lighthouse ran a public countdown on X (formerly twitter) with frequent posts about the upcoming event and where we published several examples of the evidence we planned to bring to the table for the event. As part of this process we also revealed how Catrin Nye and the BBC had lied to protect child sex abusers as part of making their programme, just so they could lie to falsely accuse and slander Lighthouse and CEO Paul Waugh, as shown in the Awful Case of ‘Erin’.

Over 50 individuals who were involved or connected to the programme were sent personal private invitations ahead of the Showdown via several means, including personal emails and direct social media messages. However, as the days ticked away and the closer we got to the 23rd April, the more the silence and lack of any response from Catrin Nye, the BBC and any of their sources became, until the day arrived and no positive responses were forthcoming. It was a damning indictment of Catrin Nye, and the BBC’s sources who had all been well and truly called out for their lies and found utterly exposed. Those who had once been so boisterous in slandering Lighthouse and trying to character assassinate us with lies and falsehoods in a toxic Reddit echo chamber the BBC had sought to capitalise on were now silent, timid and without response.

Though they could not admit it, our false accusers all knew they had been utterly exposed for the predators, liars and cheats that they are. But we wouldn’t leave it there, if the BBC ‘Goliath’ wouldn’t come to us, then we, the proverbial ‘David’, would go on the offensive by challenging them on their own ground!

THURSday 26th december, 2024

Looking back on some of the significant moments of Lighthouse holding Catrin Nye and the BBC Accountable for the more than 140 lies and falsehoods they used to slander us in A Very British Cult, it’s clear they had no confidence to back their claims even before they released it their programme to the public.

With the hour-long TV programme being released to the public on 5th of April 2023 on BBC iPlayer, Lighthouse CEO Paul Waugh was already openly challenging Ms Nye and her sources to back their claims in front of the public, LIVE and in real time the day before it was broadcast.

Although Mr Waugh had been making this challenge to our false accusers and any members of the press and media many times before this, on 4th April 2023 he specifically called out Catrin Nye on what was then still called Twitter.

In his tweet he called Ms Nye and the BBC to have the courage of their convictions and allow their claims to be publicly scrutinised in a way they could not perniciously edit and manipulate as they had with the entire pre-filmed programme. However, as we have seen on the hundreds of occasions since that, both Paul and others at Lighthouse have made this challenge to Ms Nye, her response has been and remains silence and avoidance.

Why is that the case with a programme that she and the BBC arrogantly boast to the public took 18 months for what they want people to believe was a ‘thorough investigation’? Are their claims not ‘robust, accurate and fair’, as BBC producer Ravin Sampat infamously claimed in his written communications with us, pre broadcast, to stand up to such scrutiny?

Of course we know the reason Ms Nye, Mr Sampat and EVERYONE involved with A Very British Cult have been so completely absent from facing up to any challenge and scrutiny whatsoever, in over 20 months since it was broadcast, is precisely because their claims are entirely untrue. To even start to put ‘A Very British Cult’ under such public scrutiny and examination with facts and evidence would utterly devastate all credibility and totally expose their heinous fakery and malicious slander for what it is.

WeDNESday 25th december, 2024

On the day we celebrate Our Lord’s birth, where Christ Himself was under the threat of tyranny from before the moment He was born (because King Herod was seeking to have Him killed), we want to share a powerful message from fellow Christian, Charlie Kirk.

As Mr Kirk says, God does not want us to live in tyranny and as Christians, we are called to go out into the public square to demand the welfare of the nation we are in and to contest for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Fellow Christians have said to us at Lighthouse — because of the ways we, as just a small group of Christians, are so vehemently holding the BBC and UK Government agencies (the Insolvency Service) accountable — that we are ‘on the cutting edge’ of the spiritual war gripping our world. A war that’s becoming more overtly apparent, almost by the day, as societies the world over become darker, more depraved and more deceitful on a scale greater than anything ever before.

So as we think about and celebrate the birth of Christ and as 2025 is about to begin, we call on our Christian brothers and sisters and those who love truth and want to stand for the innocent, the vulnerable and the welfare of this nation, to join and support us in our work this next year. Help us to achieve justice, compensation and reform, not just for Lighthouse but for every single person who has been tyrannically attacked, slandered and/or abused by the BBC, the mainstream media, press or weaponised government agencies.

As we start to look back on 2024, this last year has been an especially foundational year for us in terms of turning the tables on the BBC for their abominable hit-piece, ‘A Very British Cult’,  filled with over 140+ provable lies and falsehoods. Over the course of the year, we have consistently brought the truth to the doorsteps of the BBC again and again, in ways they have — at every turn — show they literally have no answer for! 

And this culminated just weeks ago as we unexpectedly had the opportunity to confront Catrin Nye, A very British Cult’s main presenter, in person, in a busy public shopping mall while on the way to interview members of the public for our Citizen Watchdog initiative. Sparked by Ms Nye herself filming and taking pictures of our team from a distance, what happened next will forever stand out as tantamount to a confession of guilt by her. That is because, having been put on the spot, instead of receiving us with decency and reason, she shamefully chose to act falsely (complete with crocodile tears) as some kind of victim. But victim of what exactly? Of two harmless Christians offering her a Bible in public and questioning why she has refused — while being a publicly employed and paid BBC ‘journalist’ — to answer to any accountability by us, members of the public!

It was an event on the back of Lighthouse calling her and the BBC out throughout 2024, to give us an opportunity to present our evidence and answer our false accusers; live, unedited and in real-time and to the same levels of audience they gave our attackers. Something she and the BBC have continued to dodge, run away from and now play the victim over, because the truth is catching up with them and in ways they can no longer avoid.

Needless to say MS Nye refused to receive the Bible, or to talk peacefully about finding a suitable resolution between us and the BBC.

Could there be any better proof that Ms Nye and the BBC refuse to take responsibility because they know they cannot afford to enter into a process that will quickly unravel their diabolical plethora of lies and expose them for the heinous levels of deliberately destructive and malicious slander they’re guilty of!

At Lighthouse Global, we have spent months protesting outside the BBC and speaking to the everyday people of Walthamstow—those who are not part of the privileged elite that has taken root there. While communities in Walthamstow live their lives with integrity, these ‘elites’, including media figures like Catrin Nye, exploit their influence to destroy lives without accountability.

Ms. Nye’s so-called documentary A Very British Cult was riddled with falsehoods, slander and defamation, and a blatant refusal to acknowledge the counter-evidence we’ve been presenting since before its broadcast. Instead of engaging with us honestly, she has ignored our appeals while shamelessly seeking awards for her deceptive hit-piece.

This reflects the deeper rot within the BBC: a culture of arrogance and dehumanization that allows its employees to harm others with impunity. Let’s not forget, this is the same institution that has spent decades covering up heinous crimes while acting as a perceived moral authority. Hundreds of counts of criminal convictions have been sentenced

When we protested outside BBC headquarters, we were met with intimidation, not dialogue. And even as we protested in Walthamstow, Ms. Nye and her peers stayed hidden in their bubbles of haughty self-aggrandisement, assuming we would eventually give up. When we did finally confront Ms. Nye, after she ran into us in a public space and started filming us, she burst into tears and played the victim—like she hasn’t wilfully and deceptively caused lasting damage to our lives, livelihoods, and reputations. Indeed her intention was to murder Lighthouse and its CEO Paul Waugh’s reputations. Her harmful portrayal of us has led to death threats against our community and forced us to take significant safety measures to protect ourselves from harm.

But we will not be silenced. As a community of Christians, we are called to confront injustice and tyranny, no matter how entrenched. Our voices have already reached hundreds in the local area, and the truth continues to spread. The BBC and its enablers must reckon with the harm they have caused.

Thought for the week: Why are the UK government and the media, namely the BBC, so corruptly fixated on trying to destroy us at Lighthouse Global? Why is the fact we’re holding the BBC and UK Insolvency Service so vociferously accountable to truth something they’ve tried so hard to silence and how do their attacks on us show that, without a Citizen Watchdog – YOU, the everyday citizen, are a sitting duck!

Lighthouse has, for its 20 year history, been working to liberate the god-given potential of human beings by helping them to think independently and critically for themselves and to create and build value together. However, the closer we have got to this, the more it has become obvious the system is actually designed to prevent that.

We need a Citizen Watchdog because it is the primary responsibility of us as citizens to stand against those who are seeking to manipulate or harm us. Our livelihoods are our responsibility, the lives of our children and keeping them safe are our responsibility – we cannot take for granted that any institution genuinely has our best interest at heart.

As Christians, we are commanded to care for the vulnerable (Psalm 82:3) and if we do not wake up to the evil of the Satanic system around us, that wants to keep us numb and dumb, we will never be motivated to stand up for those it is exploiting, including us.

We wrote yet another open letter to BBC Director General Tim Davie yesterday, holding him and the BBC publicly accountable for their continued shame and disrepute. This time it was in the wake of yet more BBC sexual harassment and child sex exploitation and abuse scandals, including allegations against the BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef Judge, Gregg Wallace.

Something Mr Davie has blatantly avoided and hasn’t been scrutinised and questioned on is also the recent news that not one but TWO former BBC employees are both being criminally convicted for sexual harassment and child sex exploitation, that of actor Alexander Westwood and reporter Duncan Bartlett respectively. This follows a meeting where Mr Davie had been due to receive a supposed “grilling” by MPs at the Culture, Media and Sport Committee last Tuesday (17th December). This would have been an ample opportunity for Mr Davie to take appropriate responsibility for the disgraceful scandals that have come out of the BBC this past year, but instead of a humble, mature and contrite response, Mr Davie displayed the same hubris, blame shifting and playing the victim that we have come to expect from him and the BBC!

It is time for the BBC and Tim Davie to repent and reform, or step down!

These are institutions designed to protect, serve and inform the public, yet the everyday person does not feel they are even being listened to when it comes to matters that are crucial and vital to their lives… not least their livelihoods and personal safety.

We recently posted a YouTube short addressing a troubling issue: the persecution of Roger Ver, a controversial figure in the cryptocurrency world. Ver, who is often called “Bitcoin Jesus” by his followers—a title we as Christians obviously do not approve of—has been outspoken against government mass surveillance. He has suggested that cryptocurrencies could offer liberation from these oppressive systems. Now, he finds himself facing up to 109 years in prison, and his attorney’s office has been raided.

Why does this keep happening? Why is it that those who challenge government overreach and call out tyranny often see their lives turned upside down? While we don’t claim to know all the details of Ver’s case, this pattern of silencing dissenters should concern us all. For those without resources or a supportive community, this kind of persecution can be utterly devastating, a virtual death sentence.

While we remain cautious about cryptocurrencies as a solution—acknowledging their risks and limitations—we cannot ignore the growing need to stand against government overreach. As Christians, we are called to defend truth and justice, even when the cost is high.

The BBC has caused outrage by awarding its Women’s Footballer of the Year title to Barbra Banda, a player who has faced scrutiny over gender eligibility rules. Banda, a biologically male athlete, was barred from representing Zambia in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after failing to meet testosterone level regulations set by CAF, the Confederation of African Football. Despite this, the BBC’s decision to honor Banda has sparked protests outside BBC buildings across the UK, with many demanding fairness in women’s sports and protection for female athletes.

Protesters rightly argue that allowing biologically male athletes to compete in women’s sports erases female achievements and creates an unfair playing field. This controversy reflects a growing trend in sports, where biological men are displacing women from their rightful positions. Similar issues have arisen globally, with athletes like Lia Thomas in swimming and other cases across rugby, cycling, and athletics causing public backlash.

At Lighthouse Global, while we were unable to attend these protests, we stand firmly with this cause. Women’s sports were created to ensure fair competition for female athletes—competition that honors God’s design of male and female (Genesis 1:27). Awarding accolades to biologically male competitors undermines the sacrifices, integrity, and safety of women in sports.

We have stood outside the BBC before to protest injustices and remain steadfast in calling for truth and fairness. Let us pray for the protection of women’s dignity and for institutions like the BBC to honor biological reality over ideology.

On Monday 16th December, a horrific act of violence unfolded at Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin, where a gunman opened fire, killing multiple people and injuring others. This attack is a painful reminder of the growing hostility toward Christians in today’s world. It echoes the tragic shooting that occurred on March 27, 2023, at The Covenant School, a Christian institution in Nashville, where six lives were brutally taken, including three children.

These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a larger pattern of persecution against Christians, as our faith comes under attack in both subtle and overt ways. While Jesus told us to expect persecution (2 Timothy 3:12), that doesn’t diminish the heartbreak we feel for the victims, their families, and the communities left grieving in the wake of these tragedies.

We must remain vigilant in prayer and steadfast in faith, asking the Lord to comfort the brokenhearted and protect His people. At the same time, let us speak out boldly, refusing to be silenced by fear. These events remind us of the spiritual battle at work in our world, but we are not without hope. God is our refuge and strength, even in the darkest of times (Psalm 46:1).

The BBC licence fee has long been a source of frustration for the British public, but recent announcements of yet another increase have reignited calls for change. A new government petition is gaining traction, demanding the abolition of this forced payment and urging the BBC to transition to a subscription-based model.

As Christians, we must speak out against being compelled to fund an institution that actively undermines our values. The BBC has become a mouthpiece for woke ideology, pushing an anti-Christian, secular agenda while marginalizing biblical truth. It is unacceptable that hard-working families are required by law to pay for programming that often ridicules and rejects the faith we hold dear.

The time has come for the British public to say “enough is enough.” Let us advocate for a system that respects individual choice and refuses to support the cultural indoctrination of our nation. Join us in praying for a shift in this policy, and let’s take a stand for truth in an increasingly hostile culture.

Our recent efforts have brought us closer to understanding the deep concerns of the local community, particularly around crime, safety, and the lack of support from local authorities.

Through powerful stories from residents and business owners, we’ve gained insight into the struggles they face—ranging from repeated break-ins to feeling abandoned by the police.

In this week’s update on our work in Walthamstow, we delve into how Citizen Watch is acting as a platform for accountability, pushing for systemic change, and creating a sense of community responsibility. We also discuss the misalignment of priorities within local authorities, highlighting the stark contrast between the significant police presence during our peaceful engagement and the lack of support for businesses suffering from crime.

The BBC have once again attempted to divert attention away from their culpability regarding yet another scandal coming out of their midst. Most recently the allegations of sexual misconduct from Masterchef presenter Gregg Wallace. Their latest attempt at distraction has come in the form of a smear piece against the Culture Secretary, Lisa Nandy, for overspending tax payer money, just as she announced that she will be taking action against the TV industry for its abuses, if significant changes aren’t made.

The culture secretary announced this saying, according to the Times, “Having spoken with the BBC in recent weeks about the Gregg Wallace allegations, I am really clear that we’re seeing too many of these cultures of silence and issues being swept under the rug.” Is it then a coincidence that the BBC’s next strategy with regards to the Culture secretary was to publish an article, with a photo of the MP, claiming she had spent £1,200 buying a couple of folders? Of course it isn’t a coincidence. 

The BBC’s strategy is clear: undermine the messenger in whatever way possible. If they can be successful at discrediting a member of parliament as a flagrant overspender, then their hope is that no one will take her serioulsy when she starts asking serious questions about the BBC. Not only is this a petty strategy of the BBC but it is a classic example of their repeated strategy to divert attention away from themselves by any means possible. 

It is the same strategy we have seen at play through these very Daily Updates, where we have repeatedly highlighted news stories where the BBC has been very ready and quick to condemn other organisations for failings and wrongdoings (whether they are actually guilty of them or not), all whilst avoiding their own culpability. 

The BBC and its executives think that they can get away with silencing those who are callling them out on their hypocrisy, their tyranny, their lies and manipulations. It needs to be abundantly clear to them and to everyone that we will not stand for it.

In an article about the new Welsh Tory Leader, Darren Millar, the BBC focuses their entire article in attempting to portray him unfavourably by deliberately contrasting him with controversial debate issues, such as homosexuality and abortion. Simply because he is a Christian.

It is a very hostile time to be a Christian in the UK. It is even more hostile to be a Christian and a politician in the UK. Darren Millar was elected leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Senedd on 5 December and 3 days later, the BBC publish an article about him paying zero attention to his campaign, his character or his competence, focusing instead on protraying him as a controversial figure. 

The short article links him with homophobia and pro-life views in an attempt to smear him in the public’s perception, no doubt as a kind of far-right Christian as they have done with other Christians. How long is it before we see articles from the BBC accusing Mr Millar of being “offensive” for speaking Biblical truth and Christian views?

Whilst we do not know Mr Millar personally and cannot speak to his positions on controversial topics, Christians like him and like us expect to be persecuted by the world (2 Timothy 3:12). We will remain vigilant of his situation and those who may seek to attack him and his character, like we ourselves have experienced. It is incumbent on all Christians to expose darkness like these smear campaigns at every opportunity.

In recent years, the issue of toxic family dynamics has increasingly found its way into mainstream discussions. A recent article in The Telegraph, by Louise Chunn, titled, “How to Cope with a Toxic Parent at Christmas”, highlights the struggles many face with difficult family members, especially during the holiday season. The piece outlines the traits of toxic parents; such as narcissism, lack of empathy and manipulative behaviors and offers practical advice on how to navigate these painful relationships.

This resonates deeply with us at Lighthouse Global. Many in our community have experienced intense persecution from family members, particularly after embracing their Christian faith. It can feel especially isolating when you stand firm in advocating for godly, loving families—only to be met with resistance, criticism, or even hostility.

While it is good to see more attention given to toxic family dynamics, we must remember that such struggles are not confined to the Christmas season. As the article advises, setting boundaries, not seeking to change toxic parents, and prioritizing self-care are key steps in managing these relationships. However, as Christians, we are also called to love and forgive, even when those closest to us cause us pain. This balance between grace and protection can be difficult, but the Gospel provides both comfort and wisdom in our journey toward healing. Jesus Himself knew when to withdraw from toxic situations (Luke 4:30), showing us that it’s okay to distance ourselves while still leaving room for grace and reconciliation.

In recent days, two former BBC employees have been charged with heinous crimes—Alexander Westwood, an actor from the Daytime TV Programme *Doctors*, faces charges for sexual offences, and Duncan Bartlett, a former BBC reporter, has been jailed child sex exploitation.

These shocking revelations add to a disturbing pattern of scandals involving the BBC’s former staff. Time and again, the broadcaster distances itself from culpability, claiming to uphold values of decency while conveniently sidestepping the systemic failures that allow such individuals to thrive within its ranks.

This pattern reveals an organization more committed to focusing on preserving its image than addressing its internal culture. It is far from the first time we have made such an observation in these updates. Once you see who the BBC truly are compared to who they portray themselves as, it becomes more and more obvious: they are not the beacon of British wholesomeness and integrity they claim to be. From the historic scandals surrounding figures like Jimmy Savile to these most recent cases, the BBC expects us to believe that each incident is an isolated aberration, rather than a reflection of a deeper moral and institutional decay. This is what we have called the BBC Savile Syndrome.

As Christians, we are called to pursue justice and truth, even when confronting powerful institutions like the BBC. This is a modern David vs. Goliath battle: holding accountable an organization that wields immense cultural influence but has continually failed to protect the vulnerable. Let us pray for the victims and renew our commitment to exposing corruption wherever it resides.

The state of the United Kingdom is in disarray, especially for Christians. Our new Labour government is having more and more cases of corruption and incompetence exposed every day. Former Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby has resigned after neglecting to deal with chronic sexual abuse, and voices for truth like Tommy Robinson remain locked up in solitary confinement. But instead of despair, there is great cause for hope!

This weekend, while many of our team were serving in Walthamstow, several of our team gathered with some inspiring and deeply caring individuals thanks to an event held in a small church in the middle of London. To protect their identities we will not share their names here, but nevertheless, it was an incredibly inspiring and galvanising meeting. Many Christians had personally been attacked and smeared by the press, local and even national government. In short, our team met with fellow soldiers of truth who have personally paid heavy prices to defend children and others from unlawful attacks. None of this would have been possible for us had we not been maliciously and slanderously lied about by the BBC. So once again, what they intend for evil, God uses for good, so that many lives should be saved, as is happening now.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today” – Genesis 50:20.

As reported, our Lighthouse Associates were in Walthamstow on Saturday 7th December speaking to local business owners about the launch of Citizen Watch: Walthamstow. Citizen Watch is a platform to empower local communities, helping them raise their concerns and hold authorities accountable, as well as protect the vulnerable where governments and media fall short.

The initiative has been overwhelmingly positive and very warmly received by numerous locals with our information attracting a lot of attention and interest and driving plenty of traffic to our  new website.

Local residents have spoken passionately about the need for mentorship for disadvantaged youth (something the BBC has derided), expressing frustration at the government’s lack of action supporting young people. Others have shared their concerns about the rise of corporate entities pushing out independent businesses in the area.

These efforts in Walthamstow reflect our broader mission to confront the injustice perpetuated by powerful institutions like the media and government, which too often disregard the needs of local people and communities while targeting conscientious voices and Christians like us.

We share more about our interactions and findings and the future focus for our work in Walthamstow and local areas throughout the UK and worldwide.

This weekend, we at Lighthouse were back in Walthamstow, connecting with local residents and businesses to continue our efforts in raising awareness about the pressing issues in the community. Through meaningful conversations, we sought their feedback on the concept of Citizen Watch; a new platform for locals to voice concerns about the challenges not being addressed by local and national authorities, as well as the media.

Questions like, “Do you feel your voice is being heard by the authorities and the media?” and “Are local authorities truly representing and protecting the vulnerable in the area?” resonated strongly with those we spoke with. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many businesses expressing enthusiasm and a desire to participate and spread the word.

As Christians, we believe in standing for truth and ensuring our communities thrive. If elected officials and councils fail to deliver on promises, citizens have a right—and a responsibility—to hold them accountable. By empowering conscientious individuals to act as stewards of their neighborhoods, we’re fostering a stronger, united community.

The excitement and hope we witnessed both affirms the importance of this initiative. Let’s stand together and speak up for justice, accountability, and the care of our vulnerable neighbours. Stay tuned for more on how you can get involved!

Tim Davie, the BBC’s Director-General, has responded to the Gregg Wallace scandal much as he did in the wake of the Huw Edwards controversy earlier this year. In both cases, Davie distanced the corporation from direct blame, pointing fingers at external production companies and skirting internal accountability. This repetitive strategy of dodging responsibility underscores the BBC’s systemic issues with transparency and reform.

The parallels between these responses reveal an unwillingness to confront institutional failures. For Christians, this pattern is deeply troubling. A state-funded broadcaster that evades moral responsibility while reporting on the misdeeds of others becomes an agent of hypocrisy and manipulation. Worse, it perpetuates a culture that tolerates harm against the vulnerable, including children, as seen in the BBC’s own historical scandals.

We must remain vigilant. The BBC’s refusal to repent or enact meaningful change necessitates continued public scrutiny. Citizen journalism and steadfast Christian witness are vital to exposing corruption and pushing for justice. Together, we stand for integrity, truth, and protection for the vulnerable in a society increasingly compromised by unchecked power.

It’s been over a year and a half since the BBC broadcast ‘A Very British Cult’ in both a one hour TV format and 4 hour podcast series. There has been calls for a follow-up to this from various quarters in that time, but none more so than us at Lighthouse as we announce work on a plan for just what is required to be included in such a programme and podcast..

Upon releasing their false and slanderous production in April 2023 the BBC had gone ahead with the broadcast despite having refused to receive and include extensive amounts of crucial evidence from Lighthouse which categorically debunks and disproves the many allegations made against us. The BBC furthermore lied to the forced licence fee paying public that CEO Paul Waugh and Lighthouse Associate, Jai Singh, had refused to be officially interviewed by them, omitting the fact that Lighthouse had been trying to get a fair and balanced impartial interview with the BBC since February of 2022 – 14 months before!

The programme and podcast series has since been found to contain (at minimum) over 140 lies and falsehoods, as well as omitting vast amounts of critical context to the claims of a handful vengeful and vindictive Reddit trolls. However, the whole BBC team behind the production, their sources and even BBC Director General, Tim Davie, have since run and hidden from all attempts by Lighthouse to hold them accountable for such abominable levels of deliberate deceit and slander.

In light of this and the fact the BBC have consistently ignored hundreds of demands by Lighthouse for a live, unedited and real-time platform at the BBC to fairly respond and debunk the false claims with evidence, Lighthouse are now planning the necessary follow up on the BBC’s behalf. This plan will outline, in detail, every lie the BBC told and everything the BBC deliberately did not include or mention in A Very British Cult that will turn the public’s current perception on its head. If the BBC are to redeem themselves at all and make things right, this will outline what is required for that; whether the BBC is involved in it, Lighthouse Global Media makes it alone or with another production company. The result of this plan alone will expose every step and piece of evidence and information that was available which the BBC purposely concealed from public knowledge while claiming to act in the public’s interest.

ThurSday 5th decemBER, 2024

Research has found the MP, Stella Creasy, that harassed and chased Lighthouse Associates down the street in her local constituency is a proponent of mass surveillance of ‘people’s communications and activities’ by the government, according to theyworkforyou.com.

In Lighthouse’s second and last encounter in person with Ms Creasy, she proceeded to harass Lighthouse Associate Tom Hasker while proudly quoting Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. She was doing so at the time in defence of her friends at the BBC who have deliberately slandered us at Lighthouse in A Very British Cult. 

However, Article 8 largely pertains to the breach of privacy upon citizens by the government and/or mainstream media, stating “you have the right to live your life privately without government interference” and goes on to say, “this right means that the media and others can be prevented from interfering in your life”. 

Unbeknownst to us at Lighthouse at the time of her harassment however, we have since found out that Ms Creasy actually used her government privileges to vote in favour of increasing mass surveillance on the public by the government… So it seems privacy is something Ms Creasy is in favour of protecting when she wants legislation to suit her views and work in favour of her friends in the media, but at the same time she has no problem increasing the encroachment on the public’s privacy by the government itself. Hmm!

It certainly isn’t the first and probably won’t be the last time that Ms Creasy tries to bend and manipulate legislation to suit her own agendas by all accounts. In 2020, Ms Creasy went to great efforts to use local council powers to try and criminalise anti-abortion / pro-life demonstrations by Christians from being carried out in the same constituency. It will come as no surprise that Ms Creasy’s stance is vehemently pro-abortion, indeed up to and including 24 weeks, or 5 and a half months!

WEDNESday 4th decemBER, 2024

Dr. Gwen Adshead’s latest BBC article, “I Spent 30 Years as a Therapist to Killers – and No-One is Born Evil” is part of a broader discussion tied to her Reith Lectures on violence and morality. In the article, Adshead argues that individuals who commit violent acts are products of trauma and systemic failures, rather than being inherently “evil”. While her perspective promotes understanding and compassion—values central to Christianity—it also represents a secularized framing of morality that ignores the biblical doctrine of sin.

From a Christian viewpoint, this narrative subtly undermines core teachings about the human condition. The Bible teaches that while humans are created in God’s image, they are also born into sin (Romans 5:12) and it is only through Christ’s redemption that transformation is possible. By neglecting this, the article—and by extension, the BBC—propagates a worldview that divorces morality from accountability to God. It also implies that “evil”, whether it’s an “evil person” or an “evil mind”, is only really reserved for killers rather than evil being justifying wickedness as goodness (Isaiah 5:20).

This is not an isolated instance. The BBC has a long-standing pattern of subtly marginalizing Christian principles, fostering mistrust of Christianity in the public mind. Through framing like that of Adshead’s, which subtly discounts the reality of sin and the need for divine grace, the state broadcaster engages in cultural reprogramming, promoting humanist and relativist ideologies, instead of truth rooted in Christ.

As believers, we must remain vigilant against these influences. The BBC’s platform, funded by the public, carries immense responsibility yet increasingly aligns with narratives that erode the moral and spiritual fabric of our society. Our mission continues to be one of discernment and courage in standing against this tide of subtle propaganda.

Our citizen journalism in Walthamstow and speaking to the public has resulted in members of the public sharing with us their reaction to the latest BBC coverage of abuse at a local school that reeks of hypocrisy by the broadcaster. 

The BBC’s recent coverage of the child abuse scandal at Whitefield School in Walthamstow has drawn significant attention to the mistreatment of vulnerable children. CCTV footage obtained by the BBC revealed horrifying scenes of children being physically abused, including slamming, kicking, and being left in seclusion rooms for long periods. Despite these shocking revelations, the BBC’s reporting on the matter fails to address its own history of scandals involving child abuse, such as their role in covering up the notorious Jimmy Savile abuse case, which has left the public questioning their credibility.

This hypocrisy is further exacerbated by the BBC’s refusal to take full responsibility for its past wrongdoings. The BBC has consistently avoided genuine accountability, offering only limited reforms and apologies, while continuing to perpetuate a culture that fails to protect vulnerable children and families. The irony is stark – the BBC points fingers at external abuses while ignoring the severe and lasting damage it has inflicted, especially to children who have been preyed upon by their own institutional failures.

We must continue pressing this issue, not only to hold the BBC accountable, but also because their ongoing failure to repent and reform makes it clear: the BBC lacks moral integrity. Not only does the BBC report on others’ wrongdoings, but in some cases, they manipulate and fabricate wrongdoing where none exists, as seen in recent smear campaigns. Until the BBC addresses these issues and takes full responsibility, it is our duty to continue demanding justice and accountability, not least for the people of Walthamstow.

The BBC’s recent article about porn addiction, which downplays its negative impact, is part of a concerning trend to minimize the dangers of pornography. While it acknowledges that excessive use can cause harm, it also suggests that it is not inherently addictive, which undermines mounting evidence that it can have serious consequences on mental health and relationships.

Research consistently points to the brain changes that occur in response to compulsive pornography use. Studies show that pornography can trigger similar brain activity to drug addiction, particularly in areas of the brain associated with reward and craving. This means that, just like substance abuse, excessive pornography consumption can lead to destructive patterns of behaviour, and may be especially damaging for younger people whose brains are still developing.

In fact, studies have shown that pornography addiction can lead to decreased motivation, relationship issues, and emotional detachment. One study found that compulsive sexual behaviour, often linked with excessive pornography use, is associated with higher levels of distress and shame. Furthermore, research indicates that, like drug addicts, people who struggle with compulsive pornography use may develop tolerance, meaning they need more extreme content to achieve the same level of satisfaction. Not to mention that there have now been extensive campaigns to raise awareness of the culpability of pornographic sites in furthering human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

The notion that porn addiction isn’t as harmful as other addictions is misleading at best and overlooks the serious consequences it can have, especially on children and vulnerable individuals. For Christians, these distortions reinforce a broader cultural push to normalise behaviours that contradict the biblical understanding of sexuality, further undermining values that uphold the dignity and sanctity of the human person. The fact that the BBC are a part of that push should come as no surprise given the number of sexual deviants and predators that have come from within the BBC, including many criminal convictions for child sexual abuse. Pieces like this belie the true nature of the BBC and its agendas and only furthers the need to hold them accountable for their debauchery, lies, deceit and propaganda working against the public interest.

SUnday 1st decemBER, 2024

Yesterday, the BBC faced another storm as Gregg Wallace, co-host of MasterChef, stepped away from the show amid a growing investigation into allegations of misconduct. Accusations range from inappropriate sexual comments to claims of deeply troubling behaviour on set, dating back more than a decade. Mr Wallace has denied these claims, but the investigation continues. Will the BBC portray this as yet another bad apple?

This comes as the BBC announced an increase in the license fee, adding to public outrage over its accountability failures. Scandals like these erode trust, and given that this is at least the fifth scandal to hit the BBC in 2024 alone! (1 – Huw Edwards’ conviction over sex abuse images of children, 2 – his £40k increase in salary during his suspension, 3 – bullying and inappropriate behaviour involving contestants and staff on Strictly Come Dancing and 4 – the controversial dismissal of Jermaine Jenas from Match Of The Day for inappropriate messages to female colleagues).

For Christians, this is a solemn reminder that these scandals are but symptoms of a deeper institutional evil—a manifestation of the BBC’s active anti-Christ agenda and propaganda, a tragic departure from the Christian principles upon which it was originally founded.

At Lighthouse, we see these events as further calls to action. Tyranny by entities like the BBC perpetuates moral decay, but our citizen journalism aims to counteract these forces by exposing corruption and speaking up for truth. As we continue to expose darkness, we are reminded that our responsibility as Christians is to defend the vulnerable and bear witness to Christ’s light. Let us stand together, resolute in faith, for those who suffer under the weight of powerful, unrepentant institutions.
