justice in perspective

Most of us today believe in some form of justice. An objective standard of what is right, what is wrong, and inherently, a form of judgement on those that do wrong. As the Oxford Dictionary defines…

“Maintenance of what is just or right by the exercise of authority or power; assignment of deserved reward or punishment; giving of due deserts.”

There has to be an objective, impartial, moral and ethical standard for justice, otherwise the standards for justice become subjective, right down to an individual’s idea of what justice means and ought to be. When and to the degree that happens, tyranny and dictatorship will arise; where human beings with the power and position to do so decide for themselves what is just and what is not, and they will execute such ‘justice’ accordingly to suit their perceived wants and needs.

Ultimate justice must come from an ultimate source of justice; an ultimate judge above which there is no higher measure. Starting with that knowledge is what brings the right and necessary perspective. It means that when a human being is put in a position of judgement and/or authority, we can measure their effectiveness and authenticity against true and ultimate justice, that which is only found in God, through Jesus Christ.

Tragically, but as a result of humanity’s fallen state, we see gross and widespread abuse of authority and influence every day, whether that’s in local or national government, in the mainstream media or in corporates and many other institutions.

When we at Lighthouse Global were ourselves maliciously, falsely smeared and slandered by the BBC and their sources, we pursued every avenue possible to bring about a full and fair disclosure of the truth and facts told about us. We do not want to coerce (ironically what we are being falsely accused of) anyone into believing us, but we deserve the right to have fair and equal representation to the same audience as our untruthful, slanderous accusers, something we have been consistently denied, censored and blocked from having. That is necessary so that the public can see the full story with provable, factual evidence and not just what the BBC have chosen to present in a deliberately one-sided ‘hit-piece’ against us.

We (and several of our clients) have filed numerous complaints to the BBC only to be fobbed off in their responses. We have also filed complaints to Ofcom, the (supposed) broadcasting regulator but they also took no action, despite there being hundreds of provable falsehoods in what the BBC have claimed. The more we tried to work with the corrupt system the more the corruption revealed itself. 

Through our experiences we have realised and learned a lot how the BBC (and other media outlets) actually operate and how they choose their targets carefully. The mainstream media has vast amounts of reach (meaning how far and wide their platforms and information outlets can ‘reach’ huge numbers of people consuming their material). They also have huge amounts of resources, from personnel through to finances and though its now seriously dwindling, they still carry a large amount of  pseudo-credibility (perceived at least) with a lot of the public.

So their targets, especially groups like Lighthouse, are easily (albeit temporarily) dwarfed when it comes to comparing reach and resources. The BBC know that someone can have all the truth in the world, but if they don’t have any reach, relatively, who is going to hear about it!? Especially when the press and media collude together and the so-called regulators brush you away. Part of the tyrannical media model itself is to wear down any opponents and critics as much as possible and ensure the process of holding them accountable is in itself a punishment to their victims!

Taking on the reach and the resources of the mainstream media makes even the wealthiest business owners think twice. They know that trying to take an institution like the BBC to court will cost them multiple millions and with no guarantee of winning their case either. So instead of depleting all our resources and with very little public reach to aid us, we decided to hold their individual journalists specifically accountable to the lies they had knowingly and wilfully spread and sought to grow their careers on. We did this because our experiences showed us that it’s far too easy these days for a so-called investigative journalist to hide behind a Goliath like the BBC, thinking they can ruin innocent lives and destroy livelihoods and get away with it, for their own career, political, social and financial gain.

This is why we have peacefully protested in Walthamstow for several weeks now; to expose BBC journalists for not only lying about us, but protecting child abusing families.

Unjust Governance: The Case of Stella Creasy and a just response

As the MP for Walthamstow, Ms Creasy has taken it upon herself to harass, lie and add to the smearing of Lighthouse even further. She has tried to shame and chase our team out of Walthamstow, publicly harassing them on more than one occasion and has sought to use her position as an MP to abuse the local council powers as a means to try and stop us. This is not the first time she has done this to a group of Christians and she has a history of getting away with this abusive, tyrannical behaviour; previously, Stella Creasy shamed an advertising company into removing an anti-abortion poster. She wanted to get the anti-abortion organisation to stop their protests, despite the fact that the police had no issue with them.

Stella Creasy is evidently (by way of her repeated public actions) a power-hungry, self-obsessed individual who has no respect for justice, except where it suits her opinions and ideology. She cares about what she wants. You can see for yourself how she has tried to taunt, harass and derail the Lighthouse team here…

Christ’s Standard of Justice

How do we respond then, when a Member of Parliament is repeatedly harassing groups of Christians and attempting to silence them and their willingness to bear witness to the truth and defend the vulnerable? 

A local instance of tyranny requires a local response of justice, community and commitment to truth. This is why we have established Walthamstow Lighthouse Media; to support local Christians, citizen journalists and conscientious residents, to band together, to defend children from abuse, to expose the works of evil and bear witness to the truth of Christ. 

We must continue to fight to defend those who cannot defend themselves. But we fight with the truth, not with vengeance. This has been a major learning curve for us at Lighthouse. For many of us, we have come from abusive homes and so standing up for justice does not come easily. And with that, there has been an unmet sense of vengeance within us, where we want to “pay back” those who try to hurt us and the vulnerable. But Christ, the very truth Himself, calls us to the highest possible standard of responding to evil. To pray that they change, to pray that their heart softens and that they examine their intentions, their motives and their deeds. 

This is what happened on Sunday the 17th November, when an entire Walthamstow church congregation prayed together for Stella Creasy to come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour; to repent from her attacks on the vulnerable and to actually uphold her duty to the truth. We know this because members of our Lighthouse team were there in the pews with them, praying in awe at how God works. Because we had not spoken to or asked them to do this, yet the Christians of Walthamstow had Stella Creasy on their hearts and were praying for her salvation.

But then there was more.

Because later that day, Stella Creasy entered the very same coffee shop our team had all gathered in. The same team she has harassed and slandered all over her social media. But did our team harass, heckle or make a scene against Stella in public? No. Did they try to grandstand and film themselves shouting at her for the fact she condones the murder of unborn children, which we as Christians we are strongly against? No. Did they berate her for her stance in protecting the child abusers and professional liars at the BBC? No. So what did the Lighthouse team do? They simply, humbly and in peace, let Stella enjoy her coffee and carried on with the work they were there to do; raising awareness with Christian brothers and sisters and other members of the public about the need to come together in our stand for truth in their home town and learning how the man and woman on the street views the mainstream media and their national and local governments right now.

Such a response is only possible, through the Spirit of peace and justice that is found through Jesus Christ. 

Christian Prayer Vigil, 29th November 2024

This is why we will be holding a prayer vigil in Walthamstow on the 29th November. 

We will be praying for Stella Creasy and for the BBC Journalists who abuse their position to protect child abusers.

We will be praying for their victims to receive justice.

We will be praying for Christians to stand beside one another, in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, to defend one another and our children against such tyranny.
