Lighthouse Weekly Update · 26th September 2026…
Good day, fellow citizens and brothers and sisters in Christ,
Goliath’s greatest advantage is not merely size. It is the power to define the battlefield, control what the crowd sees and present its own judgement as though no further examination were required.
Last Friday, Paul S. Waugh refused those terms.
His open letter, “God Help You, Catrin Nye”, brought a direct challenge to the BBC journalist at the centre of A Very British Cult: leave the protection of edited appearances, face the complete evidence and answer for the human consequences of a life-destructive production.
The letter is uncompromising because the consequences have been devastating. It comes from a real human journey through years of diabolical Life Destruction. Yet Paul does not call for hatred or harm. He expressly condemns threats and harassment against Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, their family and every other human being. His route is peaceful and lawful: evidence, examination, correction, responsibility, restitution, repentance, restoration and reconciliation.
David must stand, but David must not become Goliath.
Do not accept a description of Paul’s letter from the BBC, Catrin Nye, Lighthouse or anybody else without reading it yourself. The complete challenge is public.

The Challenge Has Reached the Giant
We have received extensive reports that Paul’s letter has made a major impact inside the BBC and is being examined from the top of the institution to the bottom.
That changes the position. No leader, board member, journalist, producer, editor or member of staff who knows of the letter can plausibly say the central challenge never reached them. They know Lighthouse has documented approximately 140 falsehoods, omissions and distortions. They know the people publicly defined by A Very British Cult are demanding that the full record be tested. They know that the BBC’s immense broadcasting reach has never been matched by a proportionate opportunity for Lighthouse to correct what millions were told.
Goliath has heard David’s call.
The question is no longer whether the BBC has been notified. The question is what it will now do with that knowledge. Will it enter a substantive examination, correct the false public record and take responsibility for the lives affected? Or will it manage the optics of concern while preserving the structure that protected the original account?
Six Stones Aimed at One Wall of Avoidance
This week’s six commentaries developed distinct parts of Paul’s letter. They were not six disconnected attacks. Each exposed a different defence by which institutional power can avoid the truth.
Part One — When Citizens Sacrifice Citizens
The first defence is the institution itself. The name “BBC” can conceal the human decisions beneath it. But institutions do not interview, select, exclude, edit, approve and broadcast. People do.
Part One traced responsibility from journalists and executives to the citizens who accept and repeat an institutional judgement without examining the person it condemns. Goliath’s power grows whenever the crowd mistakes prominence for proof and conformity for conscience.
Part Two — Why Is the BBC Taking Us So Seriously Now?
The second defence is delayed seriousness. The BBC is now reportedly examining Paul’s letter after years of resisting Lighthouse’s evidence and denying a meaningful right of reply.
Attention alone is not accountability. The test is whether the institution will expose its work to the complete record, correct what is false and repair the diabolical Life Destruction caused—or contain the threat to its reputation while leaving its public narrative intact.
Part Three — Projection: When Life Destroyers Put Their Destruction on Their Target
The third defence is reversal. Those producing destruction can place that destruction upon their target, presenting resistance as aggression and the targeted party as the true danger.
Lighthouse must apply this principle with humility. We cannot use “projection” as a shield against valid criticism. We must examine ourselves beneath Christ, acknowledge wrongdoing where it is shown and make restitution. But symmetry requires the BBC and its sources to face the same standard rather than using institutional authority to place every charge in one direction.
Part Four — Why Won’t You Sit Down and Face the Truth?
The fourth defence is refusal of reciprocal examination. Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, the BBC and its sources have repeatedly been invited to bring their strongest allegations. Lighthouse will bring the records. Let each side face questions and let the evidence determine what survives.
Their refusal does not automatically prove every Lighthouse conclusion. It does preserve a profound asymmetry: Goliath examined David for a global audience but will not enter an arena where its own selections, omissions and conclusions can be tested against the complete evidence.
Part Five — Diabolically Controlling Optics Rather Than Facing the Truth
The fifth defence is image. Powerful institutions are skilled in appearing measured, professional and compassionate. Yet controlled appearances can coexist with a refusal to face material evidence and human consequences.
Part Five asked what Catrin Nye and the BBC will choose when their public image and the truth no longer comfortably align. Repentance begins when the protection of appearances ends.
Part Six — Why Didn’t Catrin Nye Show You What Paul’s Letter Actually Says?
The sixth defence is selective representation. In her Instagram video, Catrin Nye referred to the letter’s title, length and distribution but showed none of its substantive challenge. Her audience did not see Paul’s condemnation of threats and harm, the proposal for open evidential examination, the continuing offer of peaceful resolution or his concern for her soul and journey to Christ.
This is why the reader must go beyond the summary. Do not watch Goliath point at the stone and assume you have seen David’s case. Read the letter itself.
What a True David-and-Goliath Stand Requires
David vs Goliath is not the romantic celebration of a smaller party merely because it is small. Size does not establish innocence any more than prestige establishes truth.
The decisive distinction is whether each party will submit its claims, conduct and evidence to honest examination beneath God. Lighthouse must do so. The BBC must do so. Catrin Nye, Jamie Bartlett, their sources and every citizen who has passed judgement must do so.
Christ remains the governing authority because He is the Truth. Therefore, this confrontation cannot end with one side seizing the power to destroy the other. Its purpose is to break the protection around falsehood, stop the ongoing Life Destruction and recover the possibility of truth, justice, repentance and reconciliation.
The BBC possesses broadcasting scale, public funding, institutional prestige, professional staff, legal resources and global distribution. Lighthouse carries the public identity that the BBC helped create and the human cost of trying to correct it. That inequality is real. It is also why a meaningful right of reply cannot consist of private correspondence, narrow complaint channels or an invitation to answer only within the BBC’s preferred frame.
A fair examination requires both sides to be heard against the complete evidence.
“The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” — 1 Samuel 17:37 (NIV)
David’s confidence did not rest in superior worldly force. It rested beneath God’s sovereignty. Lighthouse’s responsibility is therefore not to imitate institutional domination. It is to stand faithfully, present the evidence, protect life and refuse to let power become the final judge of truth.
Goliath has been called. The evidence is ready. The public can read the letter now.
Will the BBC enter the light?

Given Paul’s longstanding ill health resulting from the multiple Establishment attacks on him, these updates are generated by the team, drawing from Paul’s recent and earlier words and what we are working with here at Lighthouse. We ask you to keep him in your prayers as he builds strength and renews in our Lord.
God bless,

The truth will out!
Again and again, if The BBC are so sure about their reporting, why not share the contents of the letter to Catrin Nye? At least the questions and main points it raises if not the actual words?
Better yet, why not agree to a full and fair, unedited, live, in real time debate with full evidence from both sides? Why not examine the truth in the full light of day?
And why would Lighthouse, the accused ‘cult’, be the ones campaigning and chasing The BBC for the truth to be revealed and not The BBC chasing Lighthouse?
What an incredibly powerful update, particularly the way it concludes with such fitting Scripture that speaks directly to everything we have been sharing across these six parts.
Thank you for going to such lengths to scrutinise truth and falsehood, enabling us to develop a deeper and more accurate understanding, as far as is possible in this lifetime, of what has really unfolded involving the BBC, Catrin Nye and the production team.
May God bless and have mercy on us all. 🙏
Sadly, the BBC have a growing track record of not being willing to be held accountable to their own standards. Yet they will “investigate” (attack) others in the name of news. They are from impartial if they won’t examine themselves honestly and sincerely.
Ignorance, ignoring, avoiding…none of these are blissful, peaceful or right. This week has been an exceptionally heavy blow for the BBC and Catrin Nye. Paul said the facts were coming and they are here….this is damning for the BBC!
Wow, it’s been a big week, you’ve covered so much valuable things. God bless you x
The BBC hates being held accountable and uses it’s power and reach to avoid and silence it’s legitimate critics. It is what it accuses others to be and the public need to be aware how much it abuses its institutional resources that are funded by the tax-payer. Hence why it has been a Goliath abusing its power and the analogy of how Goliath controls the battlefield is incredibly accurate.
Thank you for last week’s articles and updates; they have once again been very powerful and eye-opening. Once again, the BBC are avoiding responsibility, brushing things under the carpet as they did with the Savile case.
There is no contrition at the BBC. However, the truth is being told, and people are opening their eyes to what is going on. The record will be corrected.
Goliath is running away from David! This open letter to Catrin Nye is a truthbomb of note. The BBC doesn’t know what to do with what’s being made very public… the revelation of its life-destruction work!
The open letter to Catrin Nye raises serious questions about the BBC’s coverage of A Very British Cult and the issues surrounding it. The depth of the letter and the accompanying commentary deserve to be properly considered rather than ignored. If journalism is genuinely about seeking the truth, these questions should be addressed openly and transparently. The truth will always come to light eventually. God bless Paul for continuing to speak out.
The BBC can stick their fingers in their ears and sing all they like, but they cannot ignore this forever. They may try to avoid it and have gone to great lengths to do so. But this letter, its commentaries and all subsequent letters are, in my view, a revolutionary and unwavering commitment to transparency. Until the BBC can rigorously and honestly deal with the subject of ANY complaints against them, the public will always know that their public broadcaster has cared more about its standing and its political and social agenda than it has the people it is claiming to inform, educate and entertain.
